Yes, yes yes! Portobello Market is one of the loveliest places to visit. The food is great, absolutely scrumptious ranging from fresh fruits to melt-in-mouth Belgian waffles to yummy Hummingbird cupcakes with a cute server in the store. It’s a photographer’s dream land with antiques and street stalls literally from right to left peripheral view. There’s old style, new style — vintage to modern independent fashion — this place is haven(except Saturdays) for the people looking for quality vintage pieces.

Vintage boots? Hand made fascinator? Unique jewelery? You name it, if it’s fashiony, this market has it. Just off Portobello, under the big white canopy, this is a little haven for fashionistas. They have a few regular stalls and then ones that are there every now and then, so each time you go its a different shopping experience. As you walk down Thrope Close at the back you’ll see start up T shirt design companies, silk scarfs selling for only a pound and some independent designers selling their wears. It’s not pricey, which is suprising for that area, just bring cash as there aren’t that many places to get it from around here. Happy shopping!

Portobello Green is so good that I hesitated before posting it. Located under the motorway, it’s the poorer, yet more stylish sister of Portobello Road Market. You can paw over old junk and bric-à-brac laid out on tables, or rummage through racks of re-styled vintage furs – that’s what designers call it when they cut the arms off. Clothes and accessories by young designers are also for sale. Across the street, a group of sellers hold a guerrilla market out of suitcases and easily collapsible racks. Even junkier junk can be had for pocket change.
