This is a nice little breakfast joint owned by the family behind the two great restaurants across Whitecross St, Iskele and Cozzo. We had a nice brekkie of flavorful streaky bacon, crispy hashbrowns, nicely grilled tomatoes and mushrooms.(Only Brits eat tomatoes and mushrooms for breakfast. Actually not a bad idea!). All that was good, as we’re the friendly server and cook/cashier(part of the family?). The eggs and toast however bring the score down. The toast was plain white bread, coated with too much butter then stacked so it steamed the upper pieces to sogginess level. The scrambled eggs were unseasoned and plain. So, that plate was something we could easily do better at home. I’d say the food could easily be brought up to the level of their other two restaurants and draw more people. All in all, we’ll be back and maybe try a burger. Full breakfast for two for £10, not bad.
