This is what an estate pub should be like. I’d love to swap this for my local (
) which looks so basic and unwelcoming I haven’t even been inside yet!
This is an L shaped corner pub, where most of the drinkers know each other. This is a community pub. I imagine earlier in the day it may well be a families pub (and less to my liking). There is a pool table and at least 1 darts board. They do have TVs, but I’m not sure if they have sky or not.
The pub serves a couple of ales (but just 1 was on during my visitwas a good pint of Deuchars though) and despite the StellaI liked the feel to the place and will try and drop by again on way home. If they do have the sport I may be back more than once now the football season is in full flow.

very friendly house all old school hoxtoners only one real ale .pool table. good background music. take your pick on thursday night cash prizes. all round east end pub, toilets for the disabled, has a thursday club, with free food. from about 7pm, nice friendly staff
