I’m from Sweden and have gone to the same hairdresser for several years in Stockholm to get highlights. I have always been very happy with her but I decided to try and go to a new hairdresser here in London… which is always a risk. Thanks to Unilocal I found Le Leon! Anton and his crew are amazingly friendly and there is a nice warm and lovely atmosphere in the salon. At the start I was not 100% satisfied with my new highlight(which almost always happens when you go to a new hairdresser) but Anton was determined to make me happy and two days later he invited me back to the salon and added additional tinted highlights to my hair that totally made me 100% happy! Thank you Le Leon and the crew!

I’m from the U.S. and have been in London about 5 months. Two cuts and colors later, I’ve done some hopping around to find a good hair salon. Thanks to Unilocal,I picked a winner this time! Anton at Le Leon had no trouble taking charge of my overgrown, processed and lifeless blonde mane! He has a great eye and is very comfortable making recommendations that are spot on! I liked the small quaint salon and the dog that sits in a chair right next to the washing station! He has a mix of clientele from all ages– and that means plenty of other people trust him, too! I’m sending a good friend of mine there next week.

If only every experinence could be as confidence boosting and affordable as this! Le Leon, with Anton at the helm, is the best investment you’ll make in your look. Experience cutters, stylists and a blow dry that lasts a week, I trust them implicitly. I recommend making an appointment, but they do take walk ins. Anton has an eye for what suits — never trendy cuts or colours unless they will really suit you and a trim on long hair means a trim(not one of those«trims» that feels like you just lost 6 months of length!). The blow dry/style at the end is a real treat and definitely plan to go on a day when you are heading out that evening! You will be looking hot to trot. The salon is not huge but has a really nice feel to it — certainly much nicer than all the chains that are popping up. Conveniently located near Notting Hill, it’s really easy to access from anywhere in London.

Walked in on a saturday afternoon for a long needed haircut without reservation. They had someone available right away and before I knew it, the scissors started clipping away. Hairwash and head massage was nice. Bonus points for the ceiling window through wich you can see the sky while you are gettig your hair washed. Normally you find yourself staring at the ceiling, spotting cracks or dead flies in lamps. None of that here :-). Dan was very knowledgeable about analysing the mistakes that my previous haircutter had made and fixed them perfectly. Full points or the haircut and the expertise. Even showed me a great new stylig product. Decuctions only for the service… Nobody offered tea coffee or even a glass of water. If I lived around holland park, I would for sure go there regularly. Prices are more than reasonable. 25£ for a men’s cut of that quality is good value.

As well as doing a consistently great job on my unruly barnet over the years the Crew(formerly known as ‘Le Leon’) has saved me hundreds of pounds in the last six months. I went there back in September to get my highlights done. This tedious and expensive process — the bane of many a blonde’s life — had become increasingly frequent as my hair had got very blonde from too much highlighting over the years and bleached from a 3-month trip to Asia. Although I loved the colour, my hair had become dry, dull, overprocessed and very knotty with dark roots coming through very quickly. The manager and lovely Linzi spent a good half hour explaining to me why instead of redoing my highlights as usual, I should tone the colour down. They convinced me I would gain more contrast in the colour, and have shinier and healthier locks as a result. They also told me how by adding darker tones I would end up needing to come in much less often. I was reluctant at the time to take their advice, but now my hair is indeed healthier and shinier as a result… and I’m still blonde, just a bit darker. I also now only need my highlights doing every three months rather than every six weeks. No other hairdresser in all my years of highlighting has ever suggested this approach. Apart from this, Le leon has got all the essential ingredients of a fine hairdressers — skilled cutters(Linzi and Paula are my favourites), plentiful and current magazines, decent complimentary coffee and one of the finest head massages-during-your-hairwash I’ve sampled. One time a few years ago, I was mid-massage and mid-moan and tilted my head to notice Geri Halliwell at the next door sink. So it’s got celebrity cache too. Definitely a cut above the rest.
