I was met by a lovely Iranian gentleman who washed my hair and was very courteous. He introduced himself as a director (they also have senior stylists there), so I was prepared to pay a directors rate £52.
Apart from being courteous he was pretty useless.
He butchered my hair and I had to stop him from doing more damage. The back was cut in a straight uneven line which he attempted to convince me was layered. I had flat curled up ends and lot of uneven cuts everywhere.
I remember when I looked like that last time. When my son was 6 we played hairdressers and I let him play with my hair cutting it and trimming, just for fun. (I was going for extreme short straight after then, so it didn’t matter). But this time I expected a proper cut that would be flattering and nice and alas!

I regret paying £52, but I felt sorry for them. They are a lovely bunch of Iranians that can’t do the job but very sweet at heart. That is not to say that I would ever be cutting my hair there again.
Before leaving I asked the salon manager whether that nice gentleman who butchered my hair (couldn’t even clip my hair strands confidently enough, so I could see he lacked that experience) whether he was indeed a director. To this the manager said:“Yes, he is a director, because he speaks English. Only those who don’t are senior stylists for £40″
Can you believe this?!
I paid £12 over just because my stylist spoke English and not because they were more experienced or skilled in the actual hair cutting.
Following the above review being published on TREATWELL website, Ms Faduma Mohammed (Supply support executive of TREATWELL) wrote to me with a suggestion to edit my review as it was in breach of her opinion. She wrote:

Anyway, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IMPARTIAL, remember, and you are clearly taking sides here! Also, the perceived offence is all in your head, Ms Faduma. They knew full well what my feedback was going to be, should they have chosen not to charge me for their abysmal workmanship, none of this commenting would ever surface up.

Really nice team– I went in for shellac nails– hands and feet, I had prepaid my appointment through wahanda. First I was disappointed about the lack of colours, and thought I may be wasting my time bout the team was great and mixed together shades to give me perfect nails for my holiday! I would go back, the result is very good, gave them 4 stars as the selection of colours could be better also ambiance and look and feel of salon could be nicer.

5 stars for the beauty department. I had a 1 hour facial today and it was wonderful. Very knowledgeable therapist. Definitely recommend.
Can’t comment on the hair services though. This was my first time here.

I had my hair cut in Blade Runners last week having availed of one of their KGB deals which was for just £19 for a cut, blow dry and conditioning treatment bargain! However I was pretty nervous, knowing nothing about the salon and considered cancelling and going back to my usual hairdresser (£65!). But I was very pleasantly surprised I received excellent treatment and a great cut and blow dry from my lovely Italian stylist (can’t remember his name I’m afraid) who checked with me every step of the way how much I wanted off my hair. The conditioning treatment left my hair super shiny too.
The only negative was not receiving a particularly warm welcome from the owner, I think salons who make customers who treat customers with a ‘deal’ differently to regular customers are making a mistake.
It’s not the fanciest salon in Notting Hill but it’s comfortable and has a full range of Redken and Kerastase products and a beauty salon downstairs (I haven’t visited it). I’ll be going back to try the beauty salon and for a Saturday blow dry!
