Lakwatsa is definitely cute — it has swings inside! But thats really about it. One of the staff took some orders and just decided to not do work while the other girl made ALL the drinks. She definitely looked like she needed a new summer job. Now the drinks, eh. Save your money and head elsewhere. I got a regular milk tea slushie and it tasted EXACTLY the same as Casa milky flavor tea packs, made me question what they made their drinks out of. The boba was also just mushy and tasteless. The Vietnamese coffee tasted more like instant coffee. I guess this place is more for tourist.

Came in here on a cold Thursday night with a friend after work. A surprisingly small venue but it stretches a little far back. The décor was cute, I especially loved the swinging benches as chairs. As far as the service, the one waitress who was serving was lovely, more than happy to walk us through the menu and explain the different types of tea they had. The Bubble tea itself was very nice, although I’m not a huge fan of it but my friend is a bubble tea manic and she loved it. The side dishes were surprisingly good, I had the spicy fried squid & vegetable tempura. Served in tapas style, it complemented the tea quite well. I would maybe have dinner before you go though, the side dishes were so good we had to leave in search of a full meal in Notting Hill after only one tea. Overall, good tea, very good tapas style dishes but I do think they should have some larger dishes on offer. You can’t serve such tasty food and expect me to just be ok with bubble tea when you’ve got my stomach going…

One of my new favorite places in London! I love bubble tea and Filipino fusion food, and this place did not disappoint! Ordered my usual milk tea and a selection of Filipino fingers foods. Loved everything and the service was great. The owner was so nice and friendly – great service! I only wished I lived locally so I could visit more often. I will definitely be back the next time I visit London/

Delicious bubble tea drinks. Owner Claire is very friendly as well as the rest of the staff. Generous with the tapioca pearls. What I love about this place, other than that it is very close to me, is that Claire is very receptive to ideas for new drinks. I had my favorite type made and now I pretty much always get it regularly. I’m new to London but I love that I’m already a regular here. It is always nice to be remembered when I walk in. Plus, very cute décor with swing chairs. Love this place!

This place was my first bubble tea experience and I’ve come back more and more. Flavours are great and the set up is really cute with the swinging chairs and scrabble board menu on the wall. The 3 stars is more based on service which I find a bit slow, and certain patrons seem to get served before others no depending on who placed first order. They also run out of tapioca a lot– which changes the bubble tea as you have to then use popping balls or jellies. But still good.

Lakwatsa has the best bubble tea in London. It is a great place for all ages. It has lots of fun events and there is always a special offer. Great for bringing groups of people as well.

I was strolling down a street in Notting Hill and came across Lakwatsa. First, I saw the sign that said bubble tea. Then I took a glance inside and was intrigued by the décor… benches that swing and comfy cushions all around. My friend and I decided to check it out and grab a sweet drink to try as a nice follow up to our dinner. We both ordered the classic milk tea with boba and the guy behind the counter went to work at it. I know bubble tea is supposed to be sweet and our drinks definitely were, but I have to give a three star review overall since their tapioca pearls were on the soggy side. As much as I love bubble tea, the texture of the tapioca pearls are key and I like them the same way I like my pasta — al dente. That being said, Lakwatsa is good enough to satisfy the bubble tea craving, but there is room for improvement. Cute atmosphere to hang out in though!
