I can’t rate this place for cut but what I can say is: ladies, if you are picky about your highlights and hairdressers keep messing them up (making it all the same boring bland beige colour, dying it mildly orange etc), you should and go get your highlights done by Sergio.
I’ve been having highlights for about ten years or so, and the only person who has ever aced it was Sergio. He put so much care and attention into it and seemed instinctively to feel exactly the right shade for my eyes and skin tone. I felt so lucky that I found him (which happened completely by accident — we met socially and I just had a gut instinct that he was brilliant because he is so passionate). Like the lady below I’m super fussy (I used to direct film, so was professionally pedantic!). For days after getting it done I would look in the mirror and feel delighted — it was like he read my mind, or made it even better than how I imagined. Just: wow.
If you’re looking through Unilocal like I was and trying to find someone in London who is a highlights genius: this is your man.

I was born with one of the worst, thickest heads of hair on this planet. I look like a piece of lego. My barber loved my weekly crew cuts. I hated them. My boss hated them. Woe WAS me…
Then…Adam happened.
Adam at Sergio Giannasso took my unmanageable mane and started sculpting it, moulding it and styling it one snip at a time into something that resembled hair — not a brillo pad on top of a breadstick. I am delighted with how it has started growing and I even have something called «Product» which I now ruffle through my barnet to make it «Stylish»… Even my mother likes it… That’s saying something!
The salon itself is stunning, well-​lit and has a nice ambience — the staff are very friendly and personable, and don’t make you feel out of place (which I did experience the last time I visited a salon, many moons a go)
Put it one way… I’d be in a RUSH to change to here if I was going elsewhere, Guys…

The service is excellent here and cannot be faulted as staff are genuine and helpful. I was constantly being asked if I needed anymore magazines or drinks, and also enjoyed a small piece of home-​made tiramisu, yum! I had Christine as my stylist who did a great job at cutting my hair. She knew exactly how I wanted my layers and fringe cut, and loved the end result. However, my colour wasn’t so good with her. I had creative highlights done which turned out to be just a few random highlights through the ends of my hair. Also, the actual colour turned out quite yellow/​orange even after the toner. It did not look good! But she kept saying it looked nice, when obviously it didn’t. I also felt a bit of pressure from her to buy their products as she kept recommending loads of stuff for my hair, telling me I needed to buy it. It was quite uncomfortable, but I guess its not her fault as its part of her job.
