Wow, I really enjoyed this charming gem! While not a huge fan of Indian food, I visited here while on business with a colleague. When we arrived I had no idea this was an Indian restaurant. I found the service to be outstanding and the food to be spectacular! I will return here when I come back!

The ambience was good. But the food was too pricey and not worth the money. When we tried to split the final bill, it was like explaining the tax code to the waiter.

Very high standard of food in pleasant surroundings. Service was good but not excellent. I’m being picky about the service but think I’m entitled to be based on the overall cost of the dinner. I would probably go back again for a special occasion.

Beautiful!!! The food is amazing! The location is stunning and the satff extremely attentive! I must recommend the Prawn Biryiani, its stuffed with juicy prawns and the flavours and wonderful As for dessert the baileys cheese cake had me weak at the knees! If you have a Taste London card it is the perfect plae to go as a couple as you recieve 50% off your food bill!

The only good thing about this place is that its located in a lovely decorated house. And that is it. The service is the worst I have ever experienced(and they charge 12.5% for service), we waited 30 minutes for our drinks, and then even longer for our food. The staff chose to ignore us, or get our order wrong. The food was not good either, for the prices paid you would expect flavour and loveliness, we got less than average. I left the place dissapointed and still hungry, and I shall not be going back.

The food was delicious! I’m very particular about curry so I had high expectations and the Dockmaster definitely delivered. We tried the prix lunch menu but I’m certainly going back for more. The restaurant itself is in a beautiful Georgian house conversion and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It slightly lacked atmosphere, could have done with some music but other than that, it was a good experience all round.

Went here for lunch one quiet weekday afternoon, great setting in a cool conservatory out the back. The Indian food is excellant and service was very good indeed. I would recommend it for a businss meeting or a quiet lunch; I only give it 3 stars as it was quiet and I would like to go when there was a bit more atmosphere in the evening. The bar looked great but we didn’t get to try this as there wasn’t time.

I can’t really find anything positive to say about Dockmasters. It is in a beautiful Georgian house by West India Quay so ideal if you fancy something different for lunch. That is what my colleagues and I thought when we decided to have a group outing for a birthday celebration. The service was abysmal. The lunch took three hours and that isn’t because we were dawdling over menu choices or drawing the lunch out. We were there for nearly 45 minutes before anyone took our drinks order. The food, when it eventually arrived, wasn’t very good. My friend had a kebab dish and the chicken wasn’t cooked properly. I was having a chicken tikka masala and began to regret ordering something covered in sauce. Needless to say I couldn’t eat the rest of my lunch once we discovered she had taken a few bites of raw chicken. We complained, but they didn’t take anything off of the bill and it wasn’t a cheap lunch out. They are trying to pull off a classy, up-market Indian restaurant but they’ve got a very long way to go.
