This store is nothing short of amazing, and totally worth skipping Whole Foods for if you can make the trek over. I’ve found a better selection here, even given the fact that they are a much smaller store. The employees fully understand their products and can make wise suggestions(I’ve popped in for natural allergy remedies, non dairy substitutions and gluten free options)… they are aces. I’ve stopped in before they were officially open(on my way to school) and they totally helped me out when they didn’t have to. Sweethearts! And seriously, the wonderful aromas of the freshly cooked deli dishes are amazing.

The food here is great, they serve a couple dishes every day. Inexpensive and delicious. Lots of great products ranging from frozen fruit to gluten free stuff to vitamins and overall healthy products. The people are alright too, some might be more helpful than others, but over all its a great spot for groceries and beauty and health product at comparable prices to normal grocery stores and whole foods.

The food is pricey but delicious, the service is terrible. The staff seem to be more concerned with their own conversations than being attentive to customers and they really don’t go out of their way to get you to buy their products. They have two great dishes every day the vegetable lasagne and the aubergine parmagiana(however once I went in sometime after 1pm and it wasn’t out of the oven yet!?) as well as a different soup and a few different salads every day, as well as quiche and vegetable tortilla and creative main dishes. All vegetarian or vegan. Reasonably healthy although very tasty so must contain oils or cheese sometimes! They use great health foods though nuts and seeds and quinoa and all those sorts of great things that people who work long hours don’t have time to work into their diets! They also sell sandwiches and gluten-free flour and organic beauty products and supplements and all those kinds of health food shop items. It’s fairly well stocked. They also have a mailing list where they send recipes and updates not too often so not at all spammy. About once a month. To sum up, they have a captive audience of sorts the yummy mummies of Northcote Road don’t care about price so they just buy things there anyway(it’s the only shop of its sort in the road) and even I will just keep going back(when I can afford it) to buy lunch as the food is so great! A reluctant recommendation I suppose Beware, £5 limit when paying by card.
