Cath Kidston prints are the epitome of playful. And for this reason — I love this shop for kid and baby gifts. As it’s a UK store, I often buy a few things and send them to the States for pals with babes, nieces, nephews, etc. It’s a little touch of London they can’t get easily over there and makes me «the cool aunt/friend» — I like this! On my most recent trip I scored some super cute«farm print» dungarees for my own little person, plus some«boxer shorts» — hilarious for a toddler, but he’ll be wearing his over the nappie, for awhile. Regardless — super cute little sleep shorts! While perusing the home goods I also landed on an adorable soap dispenser, on sale! It’s just the right pop of color in my otherwise drab bathroom at home. While I personally could not don these prints day to day(I NEEDBLACKCLOTHES! All the time) or plaster them all over my walls or cushions, for the odd accessory or kids stuff, I love CK. Would even envision the wall papers being amazing for a kids room accent wall. The staff are helpful as well. The store is precisely laid out and enjoyable to browse.

Buy me! Buy me! Buy me! This is exactly what you feel when you walk inside the shop. Everything is desirable and very pretty; well placed all over the beautiful space the Marylebone branch is. Lovely prints everywhere: flowers, spots, little birds… The range of products they sell is getting bigger and bigger. Now you can find everything from an ironing board cover to china, clothes or bedding in the same place and all of them with the lovely Cath Kidston signature. The shop has two floors. The first floor is all about accessories, bags, fashion and kitchen. If you go downstairs, you’ll find a great range of children’s stuff as well as fabric, wallpaper and haberdashery. The staff working there is lovely, always smiling and willing to help, making your visit a pleasant time.

For a someone that prefers her style very plain and simple like I do, the Cath Kidston can be quite something. There is not a singe item in the store with out some sort of pattern or decoration. Packed with small items for home, or stuff you don’t really need for anything with all the possible colors and bags made of shiny plastic. My opinion from the style is just one eww. but it seems to have its fans and the shop it self is definitely worth a visit as it is so so British.

With an abiding love of stripes and polka dots — preferably together eighties stylie — I do have a soft spot for some of Cath Kidston’s designs. But when it comes to this Brit designer’s more traditional, i.e. floral patterns, I’m thrust into the same conflicted state as that wrought upon me by fairytales: on the surface everything is lovely and whimsical but delve a little deeper and there is some heavy ideology at stake. In Kidston’s case her pastel hued floral textiles, beloved of the West London set and reaching the mainstream through her collaboration with Tesco for Breast Cancer, are just a bit too traditional, girly and British for me. Nevertheless, Kidston’s Marylebone High Street store is beautifully realised, its extraordinary range of items rendered in Kidston’s prints offering a glimpse into what life could be like if you had grown up in Wiltshire, or the fifties or maybe, just maybe, become a Stepford Bride.

This one’s for all the girly girls in London! Cath Kidston is the go to spot for an array of feminine household products and fashion. All of their items make a bold statement because of their floral print. They sell a wonderful array of tote bags that come in a few different shapes and sizes. All of their bags are toughly made and are perfect for just shopping about the city. This store is a dream for Mother’s day, birthdays and Christmas, as there is something in this store for every lady on your list! They sell pretty hats and scarves that are great for keeping warm during the chilly London winter!

Cath Kidston is a lovely shop a the Marylebone Road end of Marylebone Road High Street. For those who don’t know about Cath Kidston, she has a great range of homeware, clothing, accessories and outdoor products, mostly identifiable through floral prints. Upstairs are homewares, clothes and other accessories, with bed linen and fabrics downstairs. Not cheap, but a great place to shop for presents.
