Great place short walk from my hotel. Amazingly friendly staff very helpful. It was my first time there and they explained what they had. Offered me free wifi and brought out my order to me on the patio. Definately come here again next time I’m in london. :)

Great, cozy little spot. Eat there or takeaway. I recommend their quiche and their toasties. Friendly staff, too.

Reasonably priced food, passable coffee. I find their pack of crema on my long black disturbing. Pay at the counter, seat yourself. Ordered a long black and a spinach pie. Free croissant with coffee is a nice touch, but tastes strangely of chlorine. Spinach pie was pre prepped and reheated in a microwave. Soggy filling, soft pastry. Ok for a quick meal or coffee but not much else.

Lovely café located right next to the tube. Prices great, food tasty, and a really good ambience about the place. Will definitely go again the next time I am in London.

I came here with a group of friends one night after watching Billy Elliot. We were hungry and thirsty and this place was right next to the tube. It was pretty empty when we arrived. We ordered some pizzas to share and two pitchers of Pimms. I am glad we decided to give this place a try. The sausage pizza was great, this coming from someone who’s lived in NYC ! And the Pimms was refreshing. All the girls were fighting over the strawberries. That service was also pretty spectacular. This is overall a solid place for a late night bite.

Worst service ever. I waited over 30 minutes for 2 sausage wrapped croissants, and I had to ask for them twice. The second time I asked they merely had to warm them up for 3 minutes and bring them to me. Simply awful. Unless you plan on reading the morning paper from beginning to end, move on to a more responsive establishment.

My novels and short stories came to life here. Caffe Forum, situated just down the block from Gloucester Road Tube station, is where I came nearly everyday for three years to sit down and work on my writing. It is quaint, cute, and always smells of exquisite coffee. Their cappuccinos were the best I’ve had in London. It is the perfect café if there could be such a thing.

This a great place to grab a quick bite if you’re in the Gloucester Road Tube Station area. They’re generous with their portions. I had the Asian noodles and chicken salad combo for only £6,45. They’re open late, serve coffee, wine, beer and pizza. It’s a great no-fuss escape from the craziness on Gloucester road.

Found this place on Unilocal during a short stay in London and decided to give it a try. The coffee was delicious and so was the complimentary butter croissant. I got the vegetarian breakfast and the portion was very generous and everything was really tasty. It’s totally worth it! Oh! And you do seat yourself and order at the register, but everyone is absolutely charming. Will come back!

We enjoyed breakfast here every morning for a week while we were staying in South Kensington. The coffee was good with a bonus free croissant. I had the fruit salad which was delicious and slightly different each morning while my husband tried all the hot dishes! We loved it! Very relaxed and also good spot to set up to do some work or send emails.

Excellent Full English Breakfast! We had an English breakfast at our hotel yesterday that was terrible. Today we tried Caffe Forum and the breakfast was amazing!

Saw a review on Unilocal & decided to take a chance. Seat yourself dining, ordered two full English breakfasts and a tea(free croissant with a hot drink). English breakfast consisted of one egg, two sausages, two strips of bacon, ice cold baked beans, tomato, mushrooms and toast. Nothing was hot except my tea. The tea was delicious. I know a full English breakfast is supposed to be hot. As someone from London, I was sorely disappointed especially since I had someone with me from the States. Will not be dining at the Caffe Forum again. area of London. At least I know what to avoid. The two stars are for the tea alone!

This place had good food, they just give you food at the counter, and the prices are alright. This place is optimal for a quick bite. It is also very close to a hotel and metro station. The coffee does come with a free croissant. The beans here are sweet and pair very well with the bread.

Thank goodness for this place! We had gotten out of a show at Royal Albert Hall kind of late, and were starving. Our timing was pretty bad at that point — everything was either closed, or closing up as we spotted them. I thought we were going to have to eat at the Burger King(blech) when we noticed this one little spot. Entering, the place was pretty packed with a large group of men playing chess — there were at least half a dozen boards set up around the dining room. We walked up to the counter to see what was on offer, and the friendly gentleman at the register told us that at that time of night, what we saw was what he had to offer. I was hungry enough to eat my feet, and was half a step away from drooling over the case. He asked, «How hungry are you?» and I, unthinking, replied, «STARVING!» I pointed out what I wanted — Chinese noodles and some of the ribs(don’t judge me!), while the hubs chose a roll and some pasta salad. I then stood in awe as the gentleman began heaping food onto my plate. I do not kid when I say he heaped. By the time he was done, there was enough food to feed three people(or, you know — me when I’m hungry). He told us to take a seat, and he’d bring the plates out to us. We did, and he did — he had warmed the food back up for us, so that it was piping hot. Not only that, he came back to the table with a bowl of water for my hands, since I was tearing in to the portion of ribs and getting sauce all over the place. The food was good, too. I’m not ashamed to admit that I ate most of what he gave me — either from obligation or because my middle name is «Oink». No, it was because the food was good and sustaining. We were both stuffed by the time we put our forks down, and it was a nice feeling — we were warm, we were full and the food had been delicious. Plus, I’m giving huge points to the friendly gentleman behind the counter(he may have been the owner). On a different note, we were walking back to the hotel the following day, and I noticed a car door open in front of us. I happened to glance in, and noticed it was the gentleman from the night before, and he recognized us! We definitely would go back, if we’re in the area again.

My friend and I dropped in for some breakfast on a Saturday morning. The food and coffee were very reasonably priced(the free croissant with your hot drink is a nice bonus) and delicious. The service however was not great. They messed up my friend’s order and forgot mine completely. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we alerted them to their mistake but it did dampen our enjoyment a little.

Great coffee, very reasonable price and very friendly service. Can’t comment on the good as I have only had coffee there so far. Btw don’t forget you might be able to score a free croissant with your coffee in the morning!

Very popular place for tourists in a non touristic area. I guess, there is some recommendation in a London guide for this place. Kind of alternative italian restaurant, with: — good coffee drinks and breakfast items — espresso is OK(could be better for my taste) — sandwiches — noodle, lasagne and salats — danish pastry Very relaxed and slow service ;-) Good place to spend some time to relax — there is no pressure to move!
