Food was fantastic, the owner even more so. Highly recommended neighborhood stop, doubly so if you’re looking to have a nice conversation with a very friendly local.

Without a doubt one of the best cafés that I have seen in London. My friend and I were walking from Clerkenwell to the Royal Wedding, quite early in the morning, and we had our sights set on something along the lines of a Costa or Starbuck’s for our morning boost. How fortunate we were to find Par! The staff consisted of a single late middle-aged man(who I believe was the proprietor) who provided some of the friendliest and most memorable service I have ever experienced anywhere. After several minutes of asking my friend and I where we were from, how we ended up in London, etc, we finally got our coffee and orange juice. The coffee was above reproach, the orange juice had a few too many bits for my liking, though. I can’t wait to go back!
