Sympa pour prendre un petit déjeuner typique anglais. Le petit dej complet est à £5 ce qui n’est pas trop cher et l’assiette est grande et vraiment bien remplie.

It’s got a nice interior and looked like a good breakfast place, so we decided to check it out. Oops, should have checked Unilocal first, haha. We got the English breakfast and the #2. Very large portions and very cheap, but the food quality was quite sub par. The bacon was a bit too salty and the chips were just alright. The eggs and sausages were pretty mediocre. Never had the coffee so can’t comment on that. Service was pretty decent though. Overall, a very mediocre place with mediocre pricing.

I should have listened to the Gods and gone to McDonald’s instead. I found this place on Unilocal and didn’t have much of a choice for a place to get coffee before a meeting on Regents Canal. Awful! God awful. Do not go here. Listen to the reviews and don’t bother. Go to Starbucks or Pret instead. I sent the coffee back because it was burnt, when I should have just sent it back full stop. The eggs on toast were tasteless and the toast was soggy.

Cheap place that my flatmate and I always go when we need a big breakfast and don’t wanna travel too long and paying too much. Mushrooms they do is specially delicious at least for me. 5.30 for a huge Full English breakfast is always impressive and you can get juice for under a pound. I know we always say ‘you get what u pay for’ but I do think the breakfast Oz does is worth slightly better than a lot of more expensive places. Service wise it is not super nice but it isn’t bad. I like this place for a nice sunny morning.

The weird thing is that I have very nearly nothing to compare this place to insofar as I am not British and don’t have a clue as to what passes for good or bad food here. I know that there was something listed as an «American Breakfast» on the menu which was really fun, because it was… kind of like the breakfasts you find in The States, but also kind of not. In any case, this was the very first place my brand new husband(he’s not a brand new human; that would be weird… but the title«husband» is new) and I ate while in England. I ordered hash browns, unaware that my idea of hash browns falls very decidedly outside the realm of what the English think hash browns are, and it became apparent very early on that I was in for something of a steep learning curve while abroad. I don’t remember anyone here being particularly friendly, but neither were they unfriendly. Also, this may be a case of a difference in culture. Firstly, servers and the like work mostly for tips in America, and this definitely facilitates a culture of «fake it ’til you make it.» Here it was more like«We’ll come round if you need us, but otherwise won’t bother you.» Which, actually, I like much better. And by «here», I mean England… Not just Café Oz. Dan and I didn’t end up eating here again, because we weren’t particularly impressed by the offerings, but it wasn’t bad. I’m still glad we went.
