Pros: God atmosphere, decent price even for the wine and good service Cons: Pizzas are rather difficult to cut, light weight with limited garniture Altogether, the quality price is still OK but not the best pizzas in town

£5.50 for a great italian pasta at lunch. Small place but they accommodated us two times this week with 5 people, and a baby/pram — with a smile and efficiency rearranging some tables. They also are convenient with a pay at counter after meal situation — handy on business lunch with a bunch of colleagues paying separately Tortoleni was great, as was the linguine with prawns. Just remember the italians look down on us when we add parmesan to seafood pasta dishes ;) The only draw back was the temperature inside was too hot, to the point i waited outside while my friends had their coffee. I was told the coffee was great.

A reasonably priced lunch spot for freshly made paninis and pasta. If you fancy a drink, the wine is moderately priced and moderately tasty(the red is, anyway). On a Friday lunch, it is very busy(office workers), but the other days it’s usually quite easy to get a table.

Simple inexpensive Italian food. The pasta is excellent and you get a very good coffee for 1.50 as well. Not a place for a quite long meal but perfect for a quick & tasty lunch.

If you had average sleep the night before, have had an average morning at work, doing average stuff, and you’re quite into the average vibe you’ve grooved into, then Gran Sasso is the place you shuld o for lunch. The outside is promising. But once inside it’s clear to see that lack of attention to any sort of detail or any real love for what they are doing. From the fixtures and fitting to the food, the menu, the service, it’s all distinctly average. Fair play they don’t try and charge you above average prices. but my turkey and bacon baguette wasn’t made to make the heart sing, or even la la along while I was eating it. Cheap ingredients hastily put together by rushed staff. It filled a hole, but I could easily have gone to Tesco. Ah well, while the area’s still new I guess I’m going to get the odd one aren’t I? But not a patch on the lovely place I reviewed yesterday. As for you George L and your 5 stars. You’re the owner right? ;-)

This is a great place to grab a sandwich or snack for a quick lunch on the go. They have a delicious selection of panini, along with lots of drinks, crisps, flapjacks, and other items.
