A haven away from the epic retail street that is Oxford st. Enjoy the beautiful store from the comfort of a little café with some cream tea. The scones were crispy… which I loved. A bit stingy with the marmalade and clotted cream though.

Café Liberty is the perfect place to stop and have tea. We were done with the crazy shopping and wanted a break from oxford circus. We went in and got cream tea. It was just over 10 pounds and was worth it for sure. The cream tea comes with two scones each, that are incredibly delicious. We also each get our own pot of tea. I had Mango Tango tea and it was delicious. we were there for almost two hours. Great hidden café in the Liberty store.

My mom and I had afternoon tea here. The service was good and we had nice swats by the window. We did not feel at all rushed, and enjoyed the refill on our tea. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones pretty good, and the cakes delicious.

My Mother, my dog and I were on Regent Street and wanted to find a nice simple place to have lunch. I remembered that Liberty Café was dog friendly so we made our way over. Food: We ordered a small soup of the day, chicken caesar salad and a side of new potatoes for lunch. All were delicious. The new potatoes were oozing with butter which made them super good. For dessert we ordered a trio of macaroons and a scoop of ice cream. Both were tasty. Drinks: We ordered a large bottle of still water, one pink lemonade and a latte. Price: 47.19GBP for two people. Ambiance: The café was very lively and cute with all different kinds of people. You had employees eating, shoppers, single people and older couples all enjoying their lunch. Service: The service was good, efficient and very friendly. Would I go back? Yes, because it’s good food, central location and dog friendly.

Afternoon tea here on a rainy yet beautiful Sunday should have been lovely, yet was tremendously(and not just mildly) disappointing. I was served a rock and not a scone. Clotted cream? What clotted cream? All you get is butter. And the mini red velvet cupcakes? I may as well eat moldy bread suffering from a yeast infection. Bottom line: afternoon tea was gross.

You might be familiar with Liberty prints. Or the beautiful Tudor building where the fancypants department store is housed. But do you know that there’s an awesome café there, too, letting you pay for a latte but stare out at Stella McCartney’s newest collection? It’s true! Read on, friends! The Liberty Café is a total refuge and a perfect place for a time-out. But before you start worrying about whether your Visa can handle another expenditure, let me reassure: choose wisely, and totally affordable. And SO worth it. Scrambled eggs(or poached. Or fried) with Wiltshire bacon and sourdough and a small arugula side salad for roughly 8.50. Attentive service, quiet environment, zero pressure to rush…8.50 for the whole thing, the gestalt, the«experience» is a good deal in my books. It’s the little things. The tiny cut chives atop the eggs. The perfect longitudinal cut of cucumber resting on top of the arugula. The tiny sprinkling of olive oil. Everything feels special here. Unilocal note: Add a pound and get the eggs, toast and salad with smoked salmon. You will not be sorry with this skew on the classic eggs ‘n bacon.

I was determined to try all the quintessential London experiences, so of course I went for afternoon tea! It’s 18.95 for one person or 34.95 for two. You get a selection of finger sandwiches, afternoon tea pastries and treats, plain and fruit scones, homemade strawberry jam, cornish clotted cream and freshly brewed tea or coffee. Be sure to ask what sandwiches they’re offering because they can accommodate your dietary restrictions. The sandwiches and scones were my favorite part. The pastries and treats were the hardest to share but I wasn’t feeling much for sweets anyhow. Located on the second floor of the fancy and expensive Liberty London. They do not accept reservations so come early. I loved the cute salt and pepper shakers. Check them out… a different set on each table!
