I’ve been told by work colleague that Bryon serves a great hamburger. It is always busy so I assume it must be true. I stopped by a Sunday as the place was about a third full, settled in and the service was very nice. So far so good. I ordered the Bryon, medium and waited. The burger came and after my first bite knew it was too rare for me. It was exactly raw in the middle. I sent it back with no problem and waited for my medium well burger. What I got back was a hockey puck with no flavor at all. To be honest I didn’t taste any flavor in the medium cooked burger either. The burgers are thin and you get more lettuce, tomatoes and onion than burger. GBK Is a much better chain. So I don’t know what all the fuss is about Bryons but I’m not a fan.

We were excited to find Byron burger at Canary Wharf just as the kids were starting to get antsy. The service was friendly & efficient. They brought some crayons out for the kids & we were all happy to sit & rest for a bit. I got a Byron burger & it was fine. My husband got the cheeseburger & he was a little disappointed with his burger. The kids did not enjoy the burgers. We broke them down & the ate the bun and tomato but did not like the patty. So my husband tried it and said he was not surprised as it tasted like cardboard. I think the problem is that they were overcooked… probably as most people worry about too much blood on the plate. Oh well we know for next time. Stick to the pasta for kids and make our burgers rare.

Last night Byron was launching the campaign ‘One feeds two’ for charity and all their burgers were 25p so I thought there’s no better excuse not to try Byron as I’ve never been. It’s just that there’s too many burger places in London that’s either more popular or cheaper. We queued for an hour which I thought was ok as the queue was constantly moving. We sat down and ordered a B-Rex burger, a Byron burger, some courgette fries a an Oreo milkshake to share. The food came pretty quick and the staff was polite despite it was such a busy night and they must have been serving non stop all night. The burger was good as it was cooked the way I like it — medium/medium rare. The onion ring inside the burger was still crispy, the patty was juicy and the cheese was melting. It’s not the best burger I’ve had but it was still satisfying and better than I thought it’d be. The courgette fries were golden crispy, first time having courgette fries and it was yummy! Though the highlight was the Oreos milkshake, I was hooked on the first sip. It was milkshake heaven! Thick creamy vanilla ice cream blended with sweet, tasty Oreos. Plus the bill only came to £8.50 for both of us with and we did our bit for charity. Amazing burger night with excellent staff as we weren’t rushed at all and they were still all so friendly during such a busy chaotic night! x

Freddar Dawg, the latest special was a real beastly hot dog affair, it was pretty much meat patty in a hot dog roll with a good amount of American mustard and chopped onions. Not as good as the other two but still a very decent burger, to sum it up, Byron doesn’t do a bad burger, the level is very consistent and very accessible to make it a very tempting choice whenever you need a good burger.

What makes Byron great is not just the food, but the customer service. They spend time with each customer getting to know the table and really looking after you. This Bryon lives up to all the others and whats quite nice is its big and spacious so you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of everyone. The food was yummy and quick, its good for a quick bite to eat. I had the chicken byron burger with a slice of avocado, and they didn’t hold back on the avocado which I loved.

Good food, good service. You can’t go wrong with this branch of byron. I love byron coming up with a new burger almost every month :)

Good burgers. Nothing special. Was challenged by the ad on the door. «Proper burgers», come up just average burger.

Good burger as always but the skin on chips were pretty much chunky chips way too big compared to the usual ones we all love and just not good at all. We asked why and the waiter said that they’re going to bigger from now on! Why??? Other then that great as always

After partying all night and craving a burger i couldn’t pass on a Byron’s. I went for a double classic and it was incredible. The meat was juicy and cooked perfect(medium). If your dull like me definitely go for the classic with double meat

People throw this phrase around a lot, but it’s safe to say that Byron Burger(this particular one at least) provides one of the best burgers in town. A pleasant atmosphere, well spaced, with polite staff, nicely nestled away in the upper tier of the shopping centre to avoid a lot of the hustle and bustle. As far as burgers go, its understandable to believe they are a little on the pricey side, but these are not your every day Maccy D’s or Burger King burgers. These are professional, well made, well cooked burgers cooked just how you want. All the sides are delicious, as are the desserts. All in all its a perfect way to start your evening, or to spend a lunch. I would recommend it to everyone.

As already pointed out the burgers really are tasty high quality beef type and cooked well they have always done medium-rare just how I like it. Little difficult to find if you did not know where they were. The real downside is they are silly priced and the fact that they close so early on a Saturday. Guys, bring the price down and make your times later and you will be onto a winner.

OHEMGEE. haha, i generally don’t dramatize this way but while i was eating my American Chili Burger at Byron’s, I kept telling my boyfriend and our friend how delicious my burger is through my mouthful of delicious mélange of beef and chili, and when we left the place, i continued to talk about how much i freaking loved my burger. I even complained to my bf for not ever having taken me here before in the last two years he’s lived in London. My Chili burger was 8.75 quid, it came with a delicious pickle and i asked for onions in my burger. The burger came with a special chili sauce and then a layer of green chilis. Heavenly snots were running down my nose. I enjoyed every single bite because it was so perfectly layered. I wanted to have a second. Admittedly the burger was a bit on the small side, but if it wasn’t that good, the size might have been good enough for me. I was surprised at how good their fries was as well. It’s 3 quid to ask for fries but it’s worth it. I think i’ve said enough. I’m so glad this is a chain, because no matter where I go, if Byron’s is an option, i’m gonna be there for that chili burger.

Great burgers, decent service, pretty good price. That just about sums up Byron. They’d get the 5th star if they offered more variety the way they do in Gourmet Burger Kitchen but they do a great burger and if that’s all you are after it’s the only place you need to go :)

Delicious! i had the cheeseburger– you can pick what kind of cheese you want so I chose American. A local told me they tend to cook the meat a little rarer so I had it as medium(if you don’t say anything, it will be default medium). Added on some zucchini fries(it was called something else in the menu, I forgot what it was) and BAM! You have an amazing meal. The zucchini fries were so good that everyone could not resist stealing some.

Quite frankly I’m writing this more on my OH’s behalf than myself. Persuading her to have a burger requires a certain amount of arm twisting or the usual too-ing and fro-ing of a relationship as to where we’re eating that night. The fact that after eating there my OH responded by saying we could go there anytime was something I seized on and there have been a number of return visits. Myself, I love a good burger and so far, Byron’s are the best I’ve tasted. There’s no endless options, they keep it simple and high quality. This particular venue we arrived at 5:30 ish on a week day and only one of couple were in there. So the service couldn’t really get it wrong, neither really could the chef. If you’re after a burger, milkshake and fries. You can really go wrong.

I’m not a fan of diner style restaurants which flog hardly anything but burgers and chips(with the occasional salad). I’m not a massive fan of burgers anyway and I don’t think anyone is judged for picking up a cheeky helping of fast-food if they’re in a hurry but when I’m sitting in a restaurant/diner and ordering a meal, I don’t want the choice to be one of only five or six(slightly) different burgers — or a salad. It’s difficult to get excited about and there isn’t much to look forward to, unless you’re just plain starving and anything will do. Leaving my previous burger related grievances aside, this Byron just isn’t very good. The staff were friendly but forgetful, managing to completely forget some of our order, although the rest of the meal which did arrive was OK — just OK though. The one and only highlight of this experience was their ‘Courgette Fries’. Basically just strips of battered courgette, but quite nice it was. Byron try to design and decorate every outlet of theirs differently and I appreciate they have many outlets so this task becomes difficult to carry out after a while. This Byron, however, is quite a let down. It’s unique design and decoration is… completely undesigned and undecorated. Just bare, exposed walls and ceilings. Structure work and wiring on display, the whole place looks as if the builders are only halfway through working on the place. You can see what they’re obviously trying to do but the result is unappealing, deeply unattractive and actually just boring. None of this is helped by the school style wooden chairs that litter the place. Arse-numbingly uncomfortable. Believe it or not, I have previously enjoyed eating in a Byron but this experience was far removed from that one. It’s only fair of me to acknowledge that many people do actually enjoy eating in burger peddling diners, which is fine for those who do but it has a time and a place for me. And that time isn’t particularly often. Each to their own, I guess. Ian

It’s alright. Many have told me that Byron is much better than GBK, but they are actually about the same. The burgers here are on par to those at Fuddruckers. So it’s decent. So far, I haven’t had any cravings for Byron, so they are clearly missing something.

There are many places offering burgers in town and you will find yourself inexplicably eating one living here. Dry cure bacon, mature Cheddar and Byronsauces £7.25 Here, it is the choice of having your burgers as a skinny(bun free) that I like. It lets me indulge in having bacon in my burger in replacement of the buns.

As far as American Burgers go, this is about as close as I’ve encountered in London. I had the Chicken sandwich which was very tasty(with Chedder Cheese added of course). The onion rings are trying to be a little to fancy and just end up tasting too fried. If you like UK style«chips», don’t order the French Fries as my date informed me after I mistakenly ordered them ;)! If you want a nice meal that isn’t too fancy(and you are a burger fan), it’s a good bet.

As great as any of the other Byron outlets. I personally find the location quite charming for Canary Wharf. Can get very busy during lunch.
