Visited for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. As a vegetarian I struggle with Indian. On this menu was many lovely choices for me. When the food arrived it was also not to oily and very tasty. The staff was very friendly with knowledgeable suggestions. They have a few tables outside which is perfect for those late summer sunny afternoons.

When I feel like an Indian take away Bombay Nights is who I call and I have done so for a couple of years. Usually go for a tandoori sampler(which has a number of pieces of chicken cooked in different spices and a couple of lamb kebabs) together with an aubergine, okra sides. Their lentils curry is also pretty good, prefer to eat this with rice than with naan as it is a bit runny. Staff always very polite. Fair prices.

Got delivery from this place last night, food was okay but I’ve had better Indian food. Ordered samosas, 2 entrees, and naan and came out to £20. I don’t feel too ripped off or anything, except for the samosas. It was £3 and we only got 2 small ones! For £3, I was expecting around twice that. Delivery was promised in 45 minutes and it did indeed take just that amount of time. There are loads of Indian places around Swiss Cottage, but this is the only place that’s distributed a flyer to our flat. Would prefer Brick lane if I were in a big group, but will order from this place again to save myself a trek east on a lazy weekday!

Bombay Nights, along with serving very good food, is just a really fun place to eat. The decorations are quite trendy and minimalist, and even though the restaurant is rather small you still feel as though you have plenty of space. I ate with a sizable group and they were able to accommodate us very well. The service was friendly and attentive, and I got the sense from their relaxed manners that the whole restaurant was running smoothly even when they were quite busy. As an appetizer I ordered the akbari — e — baigan, which was half of an aubergine(aka eggplant to those of us who grew up in the States) stuffed with vegetables, cheese and spices and baked. It was very flavorful and had a wonderful texture; the cheese melted and absorbed the taste of the spices wonderfully. For my main course I tried two vegetarian entrees: the saag paneer(cheese cooked with fresh spinach and spices) and the Punjabi channa masala(chickpeas cooked with coriander, garam masala, turmeric, and other spices). Both of them were wonderful! They were spicy and flavorful without being overwhelming, although you can adjust the spice level of your order according to your own preference. Although my meal was vegetarian, the rest of my group ordered non-vegetarian entrees and were equally pleased as well. The restaurant did a great job of dividing the dishes between vegetarian and non-vegetarian, which allowed for a great variety of delicious dishes to choose from whether you would like to eat meat or not.(However, one definite benefit of the vegetarian dishes is their price– they are considerably less expensive than the meat and seafood entrees.) They also offer a free delivery service, something that I would definitely make use of if I lived in the area. In short: not only did I eat really good food at Bombay Nights, I had a lot of fun doing so. The staff was friendly and very good at what they do, the restaurant, although small, was very clean and well-furnished, and the prices were pretty reasonable for a London restaurant. I would highly recommend it! Bombay Nights: A fun, trendy place to eat good food.
