Lovely coffee. Not sure where they source it from but Aussie owner I think and I know they know their coffee so I enjoyed my flat white. Nice space up front. Back maybe less so.

Dog friendly café even though it’s completely indoors. Nice selection of breakfast served until 3pm, I wanted to try the local Harringey breakfast but they ran out, so I went for the poached eggs with prosciutto and asparagus. They didn’t have freshly made smoothies but a few chilled ones in the fridge. I had the banana with almond and chia seeds but it was a bit powdery. They have free wifi so there were a few people doing their work on laptops. The bill came to about £23 for two people so it’s pretty cheap!

Very nice Cafè on green lanes, furnished lovely and having a very welcoming atmosphere for both workers(free wifi) and families with children. Wide offer of breakfasts and weekly changing lunches which all sound very tasty. I got a cappuccino(pic) and I find it not bad(I’m Italian so my standards might be little above average), though £ 2.50 is little overpriced in my opinion — whereas it may be cheap for London, I don’t feel it’s worth all this money, that’s the reason why I give 4⁄5 stars. Will surely be back anyways, atmosphere for working is quite nice despite kids being noisy from time to time

This is certainly the best place on green lanes for a quality(non-Turkish) coffee. The décor is comfortable and staff are helpful(though as is usual with these places you have to order at the till). Clientele are your white middle class regulars together with some of the young locals. Most keep themselves to themselves but I’ve occasionally sparked up a genuinely interesting conversation with an unsuspecting stranger in here! Family and kids-friendly with a little play area to keep the tots occupied. There is a bit of a local rivalry with nearby Moka– my take on it is that Blend is better for the coffee aficionados but Moka wins on ambience and range of eating options. Both are excellent options to while away your weekends in good company!

This place is right round the corner from me and serves lovely coffee. The ‘vibe’ is great and I can see it as a catch up spot just as much as a work station. It’s obviously a popular spot especially with families which makes finding a seat a little hard and if you do grab a table it feels a little cramped. Also the queuing system is a little confused I found. Otherwise I love what they’re doing in particular on the breakfast front. Had a wonderful smoked cheese sandwich there once and have drooled over their brunch menu ever since!

We stayed in Harringay for a few weeks this summer and went here every morning for coffee and pastries as well as occasional full breakfasts. The food and coffee is excellent and the staff are first rate.

I loved this café when I discovered it last year: the décor, the ambience, the coffees and cakes, and used to go regularly. This week I went twice after not having been for a few months and I was really disappointed at how much I feel the standard has gone down . First visit I took my parents and we ordered three coffees and one babyccino. There was no one else waiting. It took between 7 and 15 minutes for all four drinks to arrive at the table, one by one, the cold milk milk last! The place was not really busy, yet every unoccupied table had dirty crockery on them. These were still waiting to be cleared by the time we left. Why don’t the staff use trays? The table we sat at had flowers in a clear vase with filthy water, and the table was sticky from the varnish coming undone and the dirt remaining trapped. This is the problem with lovely ‘retro’ furniture: it doesn’t like modern sanitisers and ends up really damaged. The upholstery on other chairs were looking really tatty, one chair was held together with back tape. This is lazy and unhygienic. I met a friend there almost a week later. The now dead flowers still in the dirty water on the table. We both have kids and sat in the kids corner. It was filthy! I am not sure any of the toys or books have been cleaned in months. I like the idea of a kids corner, but it has to be kept clean! Again service was painfully slow… yet all the prices have gone up quite a bit since Christmas time, a cupcake is just short of £3! There’s a new evening menu on the way, a swanky(pricey) wine list and late openings, yet I feel the basics are being neglected and it did not feel like the lovely local experience it once was. It’s a shame and I hope Blend will prove me wrong by getting its act together and start paying attention to the details.

Visited ‘Blend’ yesterday, this will be the last time. Whilst the café is nicely situated and good if you have a child in tow the food is in my opinion over priced and not of great quality. The menu is limited. As another poster has indicated ‘Moka’ is a better alternative.. .. . forgot to mention the 25min wait for boiled egg, soup and a pancake.

Disappointing. The coffee isn’t that great, the food is OK but nothing special — particularly at the prices being charged. Croissants in particular are very mediocre — not fresh enough and not a great flavour. Nice enough décor etc, but if it’s a choice between Moka and here, it’s Moka every time. It does have promise though, and I hope it does improve because we could do with alternatives in the area.

Visited this newly opened place last Sunday, as a friend of mine had recommended it. Upon arrival, first thing I noticed were the beautiful wooden floors, the spaciousness of the place and it might sound strange but also the cleanliness! The staff were very friendly, my all time favourite coffee, flat white, was perfectly made and strong. I had a sandwich and a cake, and both were delicious AND well-priced! Very pleasant wee place, it is shame I live quite far away from it so will have to try and re-visit on weekends :)

Best café in London! Excellent coffee and homemade cakes. Try it, you will not regret it. I live locally and have been several times. This recently opened café is a very good addition to the neighbourhood. It is also worth the trip if you are not local.

A lovely new café opened in Harringay last Friday it is SUCH a welcome addition to Green Lanes. Bright and fresh welcoming décor, with traditional wooden parque flooring. Blend serves a great range of coffees, teas and juices, along with delicious homemade food(and cake try the homemade Carrot & Courgette, it’s definitely the best I’ve tried in a long time — absolutely delicious!). Linda & Steve(Blend’s joint owners) have created a modern, inspiring space which truly reflects the needs of a wider local community to the traditional offering in the area. The café has a large area with a great open space for families and children at the back. The front features beautifully upholstered retro furniture, fresh flowers & modern hanging artwork which all goes towards creating a really comfortable place to chill while enjoying many of Blend’s homemade treats(presently all made by the very busy Linda!). Authentic and true to it’s goals, there is already a wonderful ambience when you walk in and it’s a place which is passionately supported by community locally. The café’s back space is already being used for local artists to share their artwork and to help promote their work. Steve, Linda and their team have pulled-off something really special here, and I for one am really looking forward to seeing it flourish and grow, and hopefully in the process, encouraging other similarly styled initiatives to the area. We spent a couple of hours having a leisurely lunch and felt wonderfully looked after. We ordered the Soft Goats cheese with mixed leaves & caramalised red onion salad & Tomato basil soup with croutons both were served quickly, homemade and lip-smackingly good! Pay Blend a visit and trust me, you won’t want to leave I can’t wait to go back!
