Great fresh food, a nice change from traditional Britt food. Kabobs are made to order. We hand ground chicken kabob and lamb from the turning spit. Both fantastic! Setting was very comfortable and staff friendly and efficient! Restaurant was clean. Highly recommended!

Ordered take away and only got half the food we paid for. The meat was dry and with little flavor. Would not recommend and will not return.

I walked here on a whim after watching a comedy show at Hammersmith. I got there at about 10:30pm on Saturday night and my first impression was good. I noticed the aroma of grilling meats, the restaurant which was mostly full and there was already a guy inside the door waiting for his takeout. I scanned the grills section of the takeaway menu. I was too late for the lamb doner kebab(it was sold out for the night), but I was offered an alternative on the menu of a wrap with grilled pieces of lamb. I decided to go for it based on my favourable first impression. The man who took my order did the cooking. He placed the skewer of meat on glowing red charcoals and I could instantly smell the aroma of the meat cooking. I like it when you can see the preparation like this. When the lamb was almost ready, he placed the bread wrap on top like a blanket, so that would get some charring and be nicely warm for the kebab. When it was time, he used the bread wrap as a kind of oven mit to grip the skewer of cooked meat and he extracted the metal skewers to leave the kebab intact. He added salad and sauces to the mix, completed the wrap and put it in a bag for me to takeaway. It was still a good temperature when I ate it on the District line going home. I performed the ritual of tearing off a strip of the paper wrapper each time I wanted a bite. Each bite usually included a morsel of meat, salad, sauce and bread wrap. There was a subtle chili flavour which went well with the lamb and bread. It was a filling meal which lasted the tube ride and I felt satisfied.

The goodness absolutely delicious. The hummus is wonderful with sliced cukes or the Turkish bread. The wait staff is extremely friendly and much more personable than one would find in larger US cities.

Best Mangal was an unexpected gem on our recent visit to London. So much so, that we ended up eating there 3 times in 10 days! The first night we went, it was after 10PM and they were all out of the doner kebab(I took this as a good sign). My husband ended up with the lamb kebab wrap, and I got the lamb beyti kebab wrap(minced lamb with garlic and parsley). We also got a side of falafel and took it back to our flat. Is it crazy to say this was one of our best meals in London? The kebab wraps were delicious, a spicy chile sauce providing a good heat to the meal. The falafel was out of this world good — best I’ve ever had. We went twice more: my husband loved the doner, though I personally found it too salty. I also had the yogurtlu beyti, which was lamb drenched in a yogurt sauce. It was really good, though perhaps a little too heavy on the yogurt. We never ate in — it seems like the best deal is to just get takeout. Kebabs are only about £5−7, and you get plenty for your money. We watched them cook the kebabs on the grill, and the smell was heavenly. They even throw the wraps and flatbread on top of the meat to warm and grill them a bit. There’s a little bit of a language barrier making it just a little difficult to order, but it’s absolutely worth it. Best Mangal has two other locations nearby, one just a block or so up the street, and another at the bottom of North End Road near the Fulham Broadway Underground. A great find, and a culinary highlight of our trip.

Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Had a pita with lamb shish as takeaway. SO good! And I’m Greek. I know about lamb, shish, pita, and the rest of it. Truly worth a visit. Yum! Can’t wait to indulge again :)

Best Mangal is a fantastic place if you want lots of meat — BBQed and piled up high on your plate. You name the meat, they probably have it. My favourites are the quail and lamb rather than the shishbut it’s all good. I have taken many friends there and they have all enjoyed it. It does tend to get a bit smokey(so don’t wear your best clothes) and the place can be loud if large groups come in(as it’s quite a small restaurant). The service is ok, nothing special however the food is great. Don’t take any vegetarians though. I’m sad we no longer live in the area.
