Westworld is a trendy fashion clothes store in Bold Street, serving up to two floors of expensive designer gear. For all you fashion fanatics, the bad news is that the store is now in the process of CLOSINGDOWN. The good news is that this may be your chance to grab a bargain in the sale(I assume, if any). The case with branded clothes stores is that even if there is a sale, items still cost a lot. Plus, I never think it is worth buying a t-shirt for about £30 let alone if it’s half the price. How much do you want to show off? Reality check — it’s a t-shirt made from cotton! The fact that Westworld is closing down does suggest it did not meet targets which is a pity for its reputation as it attracts a lot of students but ultimately has to close.

I’ve always tried to give Westworld a chance. I really wanted it to be good although I’m not entirely sure why; maybe it’s something to do with the name being a combination of Tim Westwood’s name and the 1995 Kevin Costner film ‘Waterworld’. Regardless, I have visited the store on many occasions in the hope of finding a bargain as there are new reductions on an almost daily basis, but I have yet to find anything worth spending my(hard?) earned cash on there. Previously, there would be a selection of Bench or Atticus clothing which would catch my eye if not my wallet but after its recent refurbishment they appear to have even gotten rid of them. This leaves a selection of average clothing at average prices and with the excellent Resurrection just down the road, it’s difficult to see any reason to choose to shop at Westworld instead.

If you love Bench… look no further. I love this store, it sells popular branded clothing at a really decent price. I bought a couple of pairs of Bench jeans for about £30 which is a bargain compared to the usual £50RRP. My friend also bought a hoodie — can’t remember the brand, but I know it was supposed to be some outrageous price at about £60 but she got it for a tenner. The staff can seem a little intimidating or frosty if you’re not the sort of person they expect to shop in there, but once you break the ice, they might crack a smile!
