THis is a cute lil sandwich deli and I think it looks good inside and out – not sure why someone said it wasn’t attractive. But what standards do we measure the attractiveness of sandwich shop? Food for thought. Now for some food for the belly: tasty hot and cold, sandwiches, pasties, panini’s, crisps, chocolate – or maybe just a cup of coffee? Convenient if you are catching the train or just heading down toward the docks, this little sandwich shop is definitely worth a visit. Way to go, Mario.(And that’s Marr-ee-o to all of you, not Mair-ee-o. How do you honestly think the Italians say it?)

Situated in a great spot, Mario’s Sandwich Bar is a really handy place to grab a snack and a beverage whilst on the go. You can grab any variety of sandwich, pasta or tasty snack. Prices are really reasonable so if you’re on a lunch-break from work you won’t have to spend too much and cut into your wages if you’re peckish. Mario’s does a great bacon sandwich and all the ingredients taste fresh. On a nice day it’s a good place to pick up your snacks then go sit outside. I’m a fan.

Mario’s Sandwich Bar isn’t the most attractive of places(but it doesn’t have to be) because this is a quick place to find a healthy or unhealthy bite in the form of sandwiches, barms and pasta. They also have a variety of warm and cold drinks available. The place is noticeably popular with workmen and for those who are on-the-go. I ordered a Bin Lid Breakfast Barm for just £2.40, which consisted of bacon, tomatoes, egg, sausage, mushrooms and black pudding all in one sandwich! This was certainly a first for me and value for money too. It also tasted great. I would happily recommend this tiny take-out if you want a no fuss lunch, at more than reasonable prices.

Super Maaario. Okay, now I can’t help but think a Nintendo character is making my sandwiches. This is a neat little stop in café to pick up sarnies on your lunch break if you’re in town. With no seating it’s just a tiny deli basically, serving all kinds of stuff from hot rump steak and onion ciabattas, to your usual baguettes…(the bacon and cream cheese is delicious!). The prices are nice too, I only forked out £1.50 for that! They also have a range of hot pasta dishes to takeout and the staff are fast and friendly. If you’re hungry and just want to nip in and out for some good food, no fuss, Mario’s is a good plan.
