Mamas and Papas is a grand place for purchasing baby gear. They certainly step it up a gear in terms of the amount and variety of products they offer.
This shop is noticeably quite popular with parents; it is easy to see why, given their professional image and abundance of innovative items. Whether its high quality cots, baby stools or posh prams you’re after, the store offers a whole plethora that you’ll be spoilt for choice.
The staff also appear chatty with customers and can provide knowledgeable advice for all your baby needs, which is always a bonus.
It must be taken into account that prices are high-​end and whether you’re getting value for money is a question. Babies do grow quickly, so whether it’s worth spending so much on an (insignificant) item is an argument to be settled with the spouse!

Why did the brunette and I walk in here? I actually have no idea. Maybe it’s because we’re both going to be 27 this year and our biological clocks are seriously beginning to tick. It wasn’t really going to help us, exploring a shop dedicated entirely to babywear, maternity wear and gifts for tiddlers. Some confessions took place about what we find so irresistible about baby clothes. For me, it’s tiny shoes and socks, but the brunette opened up a whole new can of worms.
Baby tights. Baby pantyhose. Tiny little woolly tights for baby girls. Ridiculously cute, as cute as a box of tiny kittens and puppies. They have these, and they have everything. Seriously, anyone misfortunate enough to be attending a baby shower soon should stop in here and grab some treats for the Mum as well as the bun.
The clothes are just precious, you can get all sorts of wonderful things like mittens and hats and there are even occasional gadgets to make life as a new parent far easier. Heck, it has just about all you need apart from the baby food… and the patience. Heck, if only you could buy that. Not the cheapest solution in the world but a special treat, and the knowledgeable staff are a bonus as well.

One of the most popular mother and baby shops on the high street, Mamas & Papas is firmly aimed at parents with money, ambition and high aspirations for their offspring. We’re talking designer prams, push-​chairs, car seats, nursery furniture, mattresses and toys. Some of the stock is reasonably priced but the majority is laughably over-​priced with one cot priced at an astronomical £900. I checked if I had any special features like flying but apparently not!
For fashion conscious yummy mummies, Mamas & Papas also has a big selection of floaty maternity wear in denim and soft jersey fabric. Wonderful if you have the money. Not so wonderful if you don’t!
