I’m not a huge fan of Oasis. The aesthetic of the Liverpool ONE store is lovely, and the clothes are presented well. However, in comparison to nearby competitors, this place truly is nothing special. The clothing is something boring, lacking in both originality and intrigue. There are some nice dresses in here, but they’re over-priced and nothing compared to the stock of the plethora of vintage stores and boutiques in Liverpool. Oasis is nicely lit, and the staff are friendly. But I wouldn’t make an extra effort to step-foot in here, as I’m pretty certain I wouldn’t be inclined to purchase anything.

Oasis lies in the heart of Liverpool One’s shopping area and is well biased towards women’s wear which is why I was the only male in the shop at the time! Having not known prior to this, I tried my luck upstairs only to find more women’s clothes. Anyhow, they do offer a plethora of fashion and accessories which every woman will dream of, if you’re into improving your collection. There are many styles and colours galore, so there is something to suit everyone. In terms of pricing, it’s quite moderate. There is plenty of choice though, which is I believe is a key factor to draw in customers. The shop certainly seems popular amongst women and considerate staff offered to help me(well, they aren’t sexist)!

I’m not sure what’s going on with Oasis this season but their swanky Liverpool ONE branch seems to be lacking in both direction and inspiration. Of course, the label has never been as effortlessly stylish as Whistles or as cool as Top Shop but the clothes in at the moment have to be the frumpiest they’ve produced so far. The summer dresses look like old BHS stock and the tunics, tees and kaftans are so bland it hurts. The two saving graces are their extensive collection of denim and their grey and polka dot playsuits.
