Its one of those places that ticks all the boxes on paper but just have something missing. The range of food to avail of wasn’t at all bad and the quality while not sticking out head and shoulders above similar establishments is by no means bad. All good so far. It just feels a bit like its been set up by someone who didn’t really understand café/coffee culture places that have become a feature of most contemporary high streets. I could be wrong but that’s just how it feels to me. The coffee was pretty good though for take-away and you’ll find you aren’t charged any more than the going rate for espresso based goodness. The one let down that I can out my finger on though was when it came to service, the staff although friendly enough did what irks me most in any service situation. Upon arriving at the counter and standing patiently clearly waiting to place my order the staff on several occasions will even after having observed the customer continued their own non-work related discussion for a quite impressive period of time leaving me and other customers waiting. Certainly jades the experience and builds a little anxiety when you are already pushed for time on a working day!

An ideal lace to come with your friends for a catch up on gossip. I recently had a hearty warming veggie soup here with a bread roll and it was delish and really filling. Coffees also come recommended and I’m dying to come back and nab one of their muffins next time I’m in this area. The breakfasts have a good reputation as do the sandwiches, as evidenced by their rush hour with office workers every lunch time.

Café Koko is a great spot for a bit of lunch! Actually, they do a mean breakfast here too! The hot food counter is really good in here but again the lunchtime rush means queues and alot of stuff running out, but surely this is a good sign? I love all their cakes and especially the chocolate muffins-don’t judge. Which I always manage to squeeze in after my lunch! The staff are really great in here and nothing seems to phase them during the rush which is great. It’s very welcoming and if you time it right can be very relaxing and enjoyable! I would recommend giving their soups a go, they’ve always been thick and tasty every time I’ve popped in here.

Perfect place to meet friends for a quick catch up and cup of tea or coffee in the centre of Lisburn. They do a fantastic range of sweet treats such as chocolate muffins, buns and fifteens(my personal favourite, large and very moreish!), along with a choice of delicious homemade soups with breads. They offer sandwiches made to order, and also a selection of hot food items which changed daily. If you are a bit of an early bird, they offer cooked breakfasts which are very reasonably priced. The café is spacious and well laid out, and also has a covered outdoor seating area. I would recommend getting here early if you plan on having lunch, as I find that by late lunch(2pm onwards) many of the hot food items on the board are sold out — but the staff are always more than happy to suggest something else if the item you wanted is not available.
