Very tasty, pleasant atmosphere and very original dishes. Top recommendation. Portions not huge, definitely quality over quantity, but felt full. They have all the favourites, but also offer brilliant fish /seafood specialties. I had the Tandoori King Prawns for starter, and tried the Tandoori Salmon… both exquisite. The owner also mentioned new monkfish and other fish dishes coming up. I’ll definitely go again.

This place was great! We ordered a mango lassi, vegetable samosas, paneer makhani and garlic naan. Everything was delicious, I especially loved all the sauces /chutneys and the paneer makhani. Service was friendly and attentive, the owner(I think?) came and chatted with us for a while and was very nice. Will definitely come back again!

OK, I’m going to start by admitting that I’m not the best reviewer of Indian restaurants as I’m a harsh critic. I have my two favourites and I’ve yet to visit another restaurant to live up to their standards. I didn’t actually sit in this restaurant as my friends had been there before and literally spent the whole night in the place as the service is apparently very slow. When we phoned and booked the order for collection they said it would be 45 minutes which is quite long for a take away however as long as the food was fresh I didn’t mind. The interior did look nice and somewhere quite pretty to spend a few hours. It is a popular little place though and is usually packed, thus the slow service. I had mango and coriander marinated chicken tikka with mushroom rice and garlic naan. The portions were generous, I got about 6 big chunks of tender chicken and I could taste the coriander but not the mango unfortunately. To this dish you could choose which sauce to add. I chose the tomato sauce which I was a bit disappointed about because it just tasted like hot Heinz tomato ketchup. Again, this is a personal opinion — fine if you like that kind of thing but I like all the spice infusions in Indian cooking and I just thought they were lacking sadly from this place. My friend ordered the Paneer Makhani which is cubes of traditional Indian cheese in the same sauce that I had. This was by far the best meal of the night and something different as I’ve never seen this on the menus of other Indian restaurants. The sauce went far better with this and it may not sound nice to some but the cheese was soft like feta but without the tangy taste — just delicious.
