I blame myself. An Irish Pub patio on a hot English summer afternoon was too hard to pass up. Simple tourist lessons learned: 1. Avoid restaurants that advertise photos of their menu items. The food does not look like the pictures on the menu. At all. The actual versions are pretty sloppy and oily. Ugh. Check out my photo of the sausages if you don’t believe me. 2. In England, stick with English food.

Looking for pub to watch the football and get something to eat. O’Neils great pub for both. Nice choice of food at good price and serves real ale. At the back of the pub is large screen to watch the football. At the front of the pub couples and families enjoying the drink and food. This is great pub.

standard irish themed pub. Nothing really special but decent prices.

Not the classiest place in Leicester but generally fun, busy and open late. Often have a live band on at weekends which people seem to just ignore but it’s the thought that counts. Drinks are reasonably priced, people ok, never tried the food so can’t comment. Only ever been in after 10 at night so could be amazing during the day. Overall an ok place to drink.

Great friendly staff who know how to pour a pint! Relaxed place with reasonable and inexpensive food. Better than many in the chain and better than many in Leicester.

Good irish themed pub(Not as good as Molly’s in my opinion but that’s just my opinion). Has really good lamb shank on mashed potato last time I was here — very good quality and very reasonably priced. Show live football on the telly. When the internationals are on they often have the irish game on in one end of the pub and the english game on in the other end — this works very well !!

Irish chain pub, so you know what you are getting. The food is ok, they do offers and they tend to be on burgers, irish-y type of food. It is normally busy at the weekend as a sort of pre-club place. Also, it is situated in the lanes, so it is a nice place to sit during the day if you want to watch the world go by. Tom from Kasabian drinks here — so be prepared to be impressed/annoyed by his presence.
