This pub is only a stone’s throw from the Penhryn Road campus of Kingston University and it’s frequented by mostly students, professors, and lecturers from the Faculty of Arts and Science, especially journalism students. From the inside, the pub has a Victorian/Edwardian elegance with wood paneling and comfy furniture. The selections at the pub are a bit pricey for a uni student, but the ambience will suffice. As far as I can remember, it’s one of the very few places in Greater London that has Kirin Ichiban on tap for a reasonable price! If you’re a smoker, an outdoor patio is available and has outdoor heating when the weather permits it. Overall, I would highly recommend the place if you’re a student at Kingston University if you’ve got a few pounds to spare and a great place to meet locals.
