Nice place good music and the beer quality superb in mid range prices so nice to visit again my girlfriend loved the juke box

Cricketers went out of business — lousy drug dealers is the rumor. If you want the Thai food, head over to where the Cocoanut used to be. Kai’s Thai is what they are called.

Situated directly opposite the Fairfield Recreation Ground, where the eponymous sportsmen like to play in the summer, this is a friendly and popular local pub. Although the décor is pretty unremarkable, there’s a very clean, welcoming feel about the place.
The beer range is decent, together with an impressively displayed selection of well-​chosen, international, quality wines. I was in a no-​alcohol mood and my pleasantly chilled tonic water was enhanced with a generous chunk of fresh lime.
Service was efficient and smiling. As it was quiet, during our early evening visit, we were considerately asked if the music volume was ok or a touch invasive. There’s a large TV screen, too, that is likely to be on when the music isn’t
There’s occasionally live music here, also a room upstairs for private functions and comedy nights. One side, downstairs, is given over to table seating for the on-​site Thai cuisine. I can’t vouch for the food though as we only sampled the liquid fare
