Wuthering Heights Inn

I love this pub simply because it is named after one of my favorite novels!!! Well and also because it is an awesome pub :) The location is a bit on the outskirts of Haworth, which makes it really intriguing and a bit mysterious. It is about a 15 minutes walk from the center of Haworth, and it is actually haunted! The bartender told us it is haunted by a dog, which is pretty cool :) apparently it was only called Wuthering Heights a few years ago, it used to be named something else. But it is extremely apropos as it is only a 10 minutes walk (or less) onto the moors near where the Bronte sisters lived. And it’s a nice stop after a long hike!
It seemed at least when we were there, that it was a common hang out for locals and regulars, and everyone knew each other. They were also EXTREMELY friendly and nice to chat with :) This pub definitely fits in with the whole atmosphere of the moors, and seems to hold so much history in the building itself! They weren’t serving food the day we were there, I’m not sure which day it was, but I THINK they usually do serve food or perhaps only on weekends. They also have a solid selection of ales!
All in all, there isn’t anything particular about this pub/​inn that makes it related to the novel, except that it is named after it. However, just catching a drink there and knowing that it’s haunted really brings the atmosphere alive: D
