The worst bar in Guildford. awful drink and food there is a reason its so cheap. Cheap and by no means cheerful!

Another typical Wetherspoons bar — sticky floors, cheap food and drink, and very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Food is good value — they’ve got a few select mains for £3.99 at the mo which is great. The queues at the bar can be quite long as they don’t seem to have that many staff. They had also run out of several items on the menu when we were there.

It’s hard to describe exactly how bad an idea it is to eat here! The food is reheated rubbish dumped on a plate and then brought out to you after a long wait by a surly member of staff. If your out and about doing some shopping in Guildford then there are much better places to grab a spot of lunch. In the evening Bar Med is fine for a drink or two but it gets too hot to stay in for more than that due to the sheer volume of people they pack in. Overpriced and a thoroughly unpleasant lunchtime experience.

Pros This Lloyds Bar is located near Guildford town centre, and is very well-sized. It’s fairly well-decorated in a modern style, and there are lots of tables and chairs available. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the prices are good and cheap. The food menu is quite large and is typical Lloyds/Wetherspoons fare, well cooked and served up quickly– can’t fault it! Cons Although the pub is really big, it does get very busy especially on a friday and a Saturday night and it can be difficult to get served quickly or find a table. Not the best for a quiet night out. Like many Wetherspoons pubs, the floor does seem a bit sticky to me and the furniture seems a bit outdated.
