The Magpie’s Eye

Full of enough shiny, shiny things to make a real magpie go into a fit of excitement, the Magpie’s Eye is a funky wee art/​craft gallery that takes the ethos of the Magpie brand and runs with it down a nicely crocheted wee street, filled with spangly hand crafted lights and wonderfully painted street signs.
With prices that mock those on display in the West End, The Eye offers great gear made/​painted/​lovingly crafted by local Glasgow punters.

It was an afternoon of tea and delicious cake at The Magpie’s Eye. Yum!
This was a wee event organised by the lovely Kitty C. to introduce more people to the wonderful delights and gallery based in Govan. I had to pop along and see what new and interesting items they had on offer. I also brought along my camera to get some snaps of the day.
I was warmly welcomed by the lovely Jessie and Kitty C. who excitedly showed me the latest in The Eye. Some of the goods are amazing finds, with delightful vintage costume jewellery to an 8 track recorder. I had to get some pics of the these treasures as you don’t often see these and sold at incredible prices. Move over West End!
There was still plenty of homemade jewellery, crafts and paintings for sale. So if you’re looking for a unique present for that someone special swing on by The Magpie’s Eye, you never know what might catch your eye.
