Beautiful atmosphere, nice decorated and more importantly: very nice pizzas! You can even see the cooks make the pizza and they have a lot different varieties to choose. Although it’s certainly not the cheapest pizza place, it’s a good value for your money! Try the pizza Emilia if you want a more fresh pizza! Only disadvantage was that some of my friends didn’t have good cutlery, but that’s just a minor thing

Ordered the giardiniera pizza in thin crust. It was very tasty, loved the toppings and sauce. The chocolate fudge cake was soft and delicious. I will recommend this place.

Came to pizza Express for their 2 for 1 pizza deal with EE Wednesdays — you also get 2 for 1 dough balls as well with the deal. The reason for 1 star is because the service we received was most definitely poor — we waited probably around 15 – 20 minutes before our starter arrived, which was longer than usual but wasn’t really that big of a deal. Then we waited possibly around 45 – 50 minutes before our main came — we tried to get the attention of the waitresses multiple times to chase up on our main and also to order more drinks, which was acknowledged but ignored — we were definitely not happy customers by this point! The main eventually came and it was lovely — hence why they are actually getting a star. When we got our bill we realised that they had not deducted the price for 2 for 1 dough balls therefore complained about that, along with having to wait so long for our meals — the waitress responded by acting VERY surprised, even though she was stood right next to our table the whole time we were waiting for our meal, so not quite sure what she was surprised about really. She apologised and deducted our drinks from the bill. Don’t think we will be returning to Pizza Express anytime soon, there are definitely way better pizza places and was not worth the wait even for the deals.

Looking for a bite to eat with my friend and her three year old daughter we thought Pizza Express seemed like a good family friendly option. Glasgow was in full Commonwealth fever and the town was really busy. We tried the branch in Princes Square first, but with over an hour to wait with a hungry kid we opted to visit this branch just off George Square. We had to wait about 15 mins on this busy Saturday night, and we have a sneaking suspicion the kind, but slightly too enthusiastic waitress might have given us a table quicker due to the tired child and the harassed look the adults were sporting. My friend opted for to go for the £6.50 piccolo menu for her daughter which consisted of a starter of dough balls, followed by a choice of pizza or pasta dish, a choice of dessert either ice cream or chocolate cake/brownie and a Bambinoccino(basically a frothy milk with chocolate). This proved great value and was devoured without much complaint. We both opted for the Leggera Pizzas — lighter pizzas with a salad in the middle. I went for the Goats Cheese which was sweet with lovely caramelised onions and spinach, whilst my friend opted for a chicken version. These were really tasty despite being lower in calories than a lot of pizzas and I think theres a real potential for restaurants to make some dishes slightly healthier, or more moderate portions catering for more health conscious eaters. To finish my friend went for a black coffee and I tagged on a mini dolcetti chocolate gluten free brownie which was rich and ganache like and just enough to end the meal. Prices are as you would expect, about £10 for a pizza, £5 for dessert — not the cheapest by any means but the food was fairly good quality. Our waitress was lovely and very friendly although we did find the service particularly slow, but I think on this particular night the restaurant was particularly busy. However, I would say though that I much prefer the Princes Square branch. There’s seating both up and downstairs but we did find some of the facilities toilets etc a little run down, and from a quick look downstairs we both thought it looked a little dark and unatmospheric. Definitely somewhere I’ll keep coming for pizza, but its by no means fine dining and I’d probably opt to visit the brighter Princes Square branch.

After hearing that Pizza express offer 2 for 1 on a Wednesday with an Orange Wednesday code I immediately planned my visit! I am not the biggest pizza fan but I had heard pizza express serve really good, authentic pizza. I cant stand greasy take away American style pizza! Decided to go to the newly opened restaurant in Glasgow Fort. The restaurant was lovely inside. fresh, clean and crisp. It wasn’t that busy for the Wednesday but beware anyone going up the Fort on a Wednesday now. the car park is always packed! There new vue cinema and a few other restaurants have opened but they have not created any new parking areas! But the food was lovely. I went for a Panada Leggara which is a pizza which has the middle cut out and replaced with salad. Under 500 calories so good for people watching their weight or are not that hungry. My pizza had goats cheese, caramelised red onion and spinach. It was gorgeous. The onion was quite sweet which was lovely with the goats cheese. Even the rocket salad was nice. it was served with a slightly creamy dressing. My boyfriend for the classic American hot which he said was a lot better than their supermarket pizzas. We also got 2 desserts which were also in the 2 for 1 deal. We both got sundaes. one with chocolate and one with toffee. Both were amazin and had chunks along with lots of sauce. Food was brilliant for just over £10 for both of us. Not quite sure if I would go back on a different day and pay full price though!

Was invited out for a free meal as a friend was celebrating their birthday. The pizzas where good and well worth the wait, one of the group had a voucher but it wasn’t accepted .Food for 4 people was hitting £100. l did not think it was good enough to charge that amount.

This is fast becoming my Wednesday treat. Another awesome Wednesday of Orange 2−4−1 Cinema kicked of with Orange 2−4−1 at PIZZAEXPRESS! First time in this branch and just as good as the Sauchiehall Street one. Food as ever was spot on. Flavoursome, quick and served with a smile. Have yet to meet a grumpy member of staff in Pizza Ex. For some reason though the 2−4−1 Wednesdays are never all that busy despite everyone queuing and cramming into the cinema. Maybe its just not well advertised. All in all it makes for a tasty and decidedly cheap night out.

I’m really impressed with the way this chain keeps developing the menu. I get round to coming here about once a year and it’s always an exciting read. This time round they’ve introduced some unique and inventive toppings– I went for one with ham hough, capers, anchovies and a runny egg HOWGOODISTHAT?! And it was. They also offer little taster sweet treats if you don’t want a full size belly buster, like figs with a dollop of marscapone and a drizzle of honey. I KNOW! Very nice to have with one of their decent coffees. Top tip: remember to bring change for a tip– if you add it to your card it’ll be taxed before it gets to the staff. A pizza nonsense.

I love pizza express! Pizza hut and domino are not a patch on this place! You can usually get offer codes online! :-)

I had fallen a bit out of love with Pizza Express — I went all the time to the Salford Quays one, the Bolton one, the many Manchester ones. I loved the dough balls, the pizzas, the Peroni glasses and the deals they always have on making it a pretty nifty midweek treat. But I hated the tables that made every time you put your glass down sound like you were smashing it, the slow service and well the whole predictability of it. It had been another pants day at work and I wanted a nice meal, but it was mid-month so out came the trusty voucher website and as usual they delivered a Pizza Express voucher. The place was heaving for a Tuesday and we had to wait about 15 mins for a table. However the staff were great and were keen to make sure we didnt need to rush, even though there was a queue of diners waiting. To their credit the queue went down pretty quickly. As always the Pizzas were gorgeous, the dough balls amazing and the wine was also on offer, making a bottle of Pinot £13! Bargain! We never stop here for dessert but today we did and it was insanely good, I heartily recommend the banoffee pie. Yes you can buy the pizzas in Tescos, and now the dough balls too — but its still a decent enough place to eat and although I overkilled Pizza Express in the past, I’ve never had a bad meal there… however slow the service has been in some places. Its a good example of a chain that doesnt necessarily scream terrible.

It’s been a long time since I last walked into a Pizza Express and I’d forgotten how nice their pizzas were. Not the greasy cheesy kind, but the thin refreshing Italian kind that is perfect for lunch. The Rustichella on the Romana base was the perfect example of this combining a fresh Caesar salad with a large pizza. This city centre restaurant is mightily busy on a weekend and seems to be popular with families.

Good standard of food with friendly, attentive staff. Prices are okay and general vibe is relaxed.

An excellent choice for a tasty bite to eat in the city centre — the thin base Romano style pizzas have impressed the last three times I’ve been and they always seem to have good deals on. I’ve also enjoyed the pasta dishes — good value and definitely good for a chain — very consistent. Staff have always been efficient and reasonably friendly — only minor criticism is that they only have one beer(Peroni) and it’s pretty pricey.

Expensive but nice. If you do your homework you can usually find some sort of money off voucher for when you want to visit. The pizzas are great quality and the atmosphere is pleasant. I have always preferred the thin crust pizzas they do in comparison to the minging deep dish offerings from other chains.

Although I am not a big fan of pizza– in Glasgow, it has way too much crust and too little flavour, most of the time, I have always been fond of Pizza Express. For a chain, it manages to make a meal feel like something intimate, and not just a last minute bite to eat, and they are imaginative in their flavours. Besides, they give some money to charity, which makes me feel better about the whole deal. I have a wee bit of a thing for the dough balls: more refreshing than straight garlic bread, and not so filling: the pizzas are usually light and the crust thin. They even do a good bottle of wine, have a downstairs area for a quieter meal and I dig the jazz atmosphere.

Most of the praise aimed towards Pizza Express seems to centre on the ambience, which is far more restaurant-like and intimate than the chain’s name would suggest. Waiters come round with black pepper, gentle music plays in the background, the décor is stylish, and you can order a bottle of white wine without feeling an idiot. The food is good too, with more authentically Italian pizzas than many rivals, but in all honesty. sometimes I just prefer a greasy, meat and jalapeño laden beast from Dominos or Pizza Hut.

I visited this Pizza Express a few weeks ago for a friend’s birthday– a great option if you fancy a nice meal but most of your party are suffering from the recession. This branch is convieniently located on Queen Street, just south of George Square. I was really impressed with the food deals(I had a starter, main and glass of wine for £10) and I’ve now fallen in love with the dough balls. And their Padana pizza. And their ice cream. Thumbs up.

I have to say that I love going to Pizza Express. The food is great, the wine list is great, and the staff are great. The Sloppy Guiseppe never disappoints, and I love their ‘mini desserts’ which you can have with a coffee. They also do some terrific starters and cater brilliantly for children. This Pizza Express is in the city centre so it is really easy to ge to — it is just 2 minutes walk from Queen St station.

Went here when they had the 2 for 1 pizza and starter offer on and had some of the best pizzas have ever had. Great combinations of toppings and all the ingredients as fresh as could be The restaurant can appear a tad small when you first go in but there is an extra eating area downstairs to fit more customers in. Great garlic bread!
