O2 Store

I’ve experienced the good and bad with o2 stores on the hunt for my iphone upgrade, and this one was the best I could find.
I tried my luck popping into whichever random o2 store I stumbled across in several cities and each time it was crowded, busy and there was no obvious queue or real customer service.
Here, however, there were several sales reps all manning a desk with customers, and one manager who directed new customers to a seating area and ensured everyone was looked after. When a customer who came in after me was seen to before me she assured me it was because I was an upgrade customer and a specialist assistant would be with me soon (which he was).
The iPhone 4 is still selling like hotcakes. I had been on the waiting list for a month or so, and once it came in, I got the call, went down and there was 1 left (which I swiftly snaffled. Why hello Mr iPhone 4!)
It seems most of the other o2 stores let the allure of the iphone 4 go to their heads and allow customer service go out the window but this branch definitely kept standards high and I left a satisfied, happy customer.

The o2 Shop on Great Western Road is probably larger than most o2 stores, but I’m sure they all sell pretty much the exact same stock anyway. Staff are friendly, shop layout is tidy, iPhones are available for test drives, staff are keen to offer good customer service, you don’t have to wait to long to be seen. So I suppose u could say that it is a nice shop.
The only problem for me is that I don’t like o2 having recently terminated my contract after they failed to match a deal on offer from one of their competitors, something they were always happy to do until the introduction of the iPhone. What is great about o2 though is the fact that you can take them your phone and will charge it for you if you are on 02.
