This isn’t really my kind of shop — it’s a bit too bland girlie for my tastes — but I’ll keep it objective because some people like it! If you are into massive, rectangular diamanté encrusted dresses, then you would probably like this place. There’s a lot of Saturday night party wear in here, geared at varying age groups and tastes, and a smaller selection of punky-turned-girlie styled t shirts that have been ripped off the shoulder on purpose. It’s fairly expensive but what would dishearten me if I liked this sort of thing that the woman’s branch looks slightly cheapened. It reminded me a little of those tacky clothes shops that have popped up more often during the recession on the grave of another lost chain store. It looks a wee bit like it sells fake designer clobber(it’s not, but that’s how it looks) and like it’s trying so hard to be trendy that you’d only keep these clothes for a couple of months before getting bored with them. Saying that, my eyes are untrained to clothes like this since I dress myself in Sally Army granny jumpers, so have a wee nosey and make your own mind up. This is a long established store in this area so it’s hitting the mark with some people!

Life(women) is situated just off Dumbarton Road by Partick Subway Station. It’s a surprisingly large shop for its location — and has some really nice stock. It mainly sells going out clothes — including a lot of short sparkly tunics. The best thing about this shop is it’s stunning selection of shoes! It has absolutely gorgeous heels — that are all very glamourous. They are, however, quite pricey — at about £80 a pair. Keep an eye out for sales, though, as there were a pair of shoes reduced from £80 to £25.
