Ah, Greggs. Good ol’ Geordie Greggs. This particular one is basically Partick Greggs version 2.0. The old one moved a few doors down, into a bigger space so instead of being just a take away Greggs it now has a sit-in bit. Apart from the obvious good things about moving into a bigger unit and having the option to sit-in, should you wish to, it’s not really changed *that* much… but then again, it’s a Greggs and Greggs is, well just that, Greggs. That’s why folk like them though ~ they know what they’re going to get as every Greggs sells the same, consistent, well loved, bakery produce. I was going to give them 3 stars until a recent visit where, a) I spotted they have some new produce(for this one), one of them being a Toffee Finger Cream Doughnut which is pretty *UH* in the cream bun stakes(that’s ‘GOOD’ for the uninitiated) and b) I ordered myself a double espresso which was actually pretty damn not bad! HOLDTHEBUS! I know?! I was surprised too… also 3) they are now open a bit later ~ until 6pm if I am correct. Woo! What more can I say other than it’s Greggs, dude? Rather than just take away or eat al fresco as they say in Bulgaria, you can now sit in and enjoy your sausage roll(which, by the way, I am SURE they have changed their recipe as it’s not as nice! WTF Greggs?! WTF. Don’t make my sausage roll healthy! Damn you! *shakes greasy fist*) with a knife and fork ALLPROPERLIKE. Okay, maybe not quite *that* proper BUT it’s a table & seat, in vague warmth which you’ve paid extra for, so ENJOY.
