Cusp Hair Salon

VERY unprofessional. Do NOT recommend. I had an appointment at 3 o’clock, but didn’t get my haircut started until an HOUR later. The cut itself took around 45 minutes. It shouldn’t have taken that long considering the cut I did. While I was waiting on my turn, I saw Connie working on three clients at once. While doing that, she would walk away from the person she was working on to banter with the other stylists. Quite regularly, someone would step in and talk to her about making appointments/​general chit chat while she was holding a hair dryer in one hand. About 40 minutes in to my wait, I got to have my hair washed. Twenty minutes later, Connie had a window to start doing my hair, as her other client had bleach processing. She pushed me to let her dye my hair (which I had NOT requested) but eventually gave up. We discussed about the cut I wanted a bit here and there during the hour long wait, and I showed a reference picture, yet she didn’t seem to get what I requested. I ended up with a horrible cut that I need to get redone ASAP at a better place. The salon is also deceptive about their prices, which is a huge red flag. On their facebook, they list certain prices, and claim that haircuts for students are £15. When I went to pay, she claimed that the price of £40 was a discounted price. When Connie was talking to a girl about a certain cut, she claimed that £35 was a discounted price. I am frankly appalled with how this salon is run and will NOT go back.

As a recent transplant to Glasgow, I was tempted to try Cusp because of their already high reviews. I didn’t have an appointment, but that wasn’t a problem at all, and they were able to get to me pretty soon after I arrived. Conor did a great job. Moreover, the atmosphere is relaxing, I didn’t feel rushed and the team is very friendly. This is certainly going to become my new regular.

I used to be very much get in anywhere, get it done and get out when it came to haircuts. But after my first time to Cusp i’ve always returned.
Connie & her team are great, i’ve always came out loving what they have done with my hair. I’m always treated well, they have great chat & the tunes are fantastic. I love the new paint job on the outside too.
No wonder Cusp have so many regulars!

I’m really, really particular about my hair and after a ‘bad hair experience’ at my usual salon, I was on the look out for a new place to go. I did some online research and cusp had some great reviews. They weren’t wrong. Trendy décor yet informal, casual atmosphere. I checked out the other ‘do’s’ as I waited and was really impressed at the transformations. I was delighted with my cut and colour. And at 85 quid a real bargain — you’d never get a deal like that jsut a bit further along Argyle St into the city centre!
