Tea warms me up from inside and refreshes me. Sipping a cuppa helps me relax, especially when it’s good tea. I’m a fan of Brewhaha’s green tea, which I can enjoy both at home and in their tearoom in the City Centre.
Tucked away in the corner of the lower ground level of the Galleries (next to Costa) is Brewhaha’s tearoom. It’s a brightly coloured, retro-​inspired, cheery but relaxing space. The brand sells itself as creative and fun-​loving, which you can see from the artwork and presentation. Passersby can escape the shopping madness, and relax in their decent size café. While relaxing you can enjoy your tea or coffee, and perhaps some snacks or cakes. During a visit with Lumberjack, I caved and got one of the cupcakes. Although they have a pretty presentation, I wasn’t all too impressed. The cake was quite dry… meh. Yet, the tea was nice and just hit the spot. The staff is laidback and friendly, as you stand and stare at the plethora of tea offerings. You can also purchase their teas to take home and enjoy. They also have a few random gift items on display. Overall, great option when you want to avoid Starbucks, Costa, and the like.

Brewhaha blossomed onto Glasgow’s tea drinking scene just over a year ago, and is a welcome addition to the Buchanan Galleries.
Situated right by a juice bar, whisky shop, Crêpe and Croissant and Costa, its cute, kitschy gimmick with a modern take on retro culture wins customers over. It brightens up the commercialised gloss of the mall environment with its swanky seating booths, homemade cake stands and selection of teas.
On the tea front, you can get anything from a huge variation of black teas to green and fruity options. Most teas are loose and served up in cute wee teapots with strainers, or clear jugs with strainers inside.
The staff are always really friendly and efficient, giving you recommendations whenever you need them. Despite its slightly boxed in location it does well for space, and brings an airy, laid back coffee culture to defeat the other, stuffy coffee chains in the Galleries.

I’m a pusher of boundaries man, a trend setter, a maverick life force bent on tearing down the barriers of social convention, leaving them torn asunder whilst i tramp forward with the flame of justice, equality and biscuits lighting my way… oh yeah, and i’m also the first man type chap to review what appears to be an ostensibly female orientated type tea/​coffee type joint.
Yes its girly, yes its kitch, yes kitsch is just another way to say girly, yes its girly… but its different. Now, now. Listen to me male chaps… i know that meeting for coffee is without doubt a female invention as they, in the main, do not require alcohol to lubricate their friendships, and that this place is, as i may have mentioned earlier, a bit girly, but i have to say… its ok for takeout.
Here’s what to do. Step one: Observe the area, ensure that no large groups of homophobic males (read old school friends) are gathering nearby, Step two; Make up your mind what you want o drink before you go in, Step three; Shout «Oh my God! Is that Kath Kidston handing out signed copies of her silly twee over priced address/​gift card/​writing paper/​slash?» Step four; Avoid stampede, order man coffee, pay, leave, enjoy.
Thank me later.
Apart form this… good coffee, wide range of teas, tasty (if a tad pricey) cakes and such and a twee beyond twee interior short, a welcome diversion from the Starbucks drones.

Nothing pleases me more than a spot of afternoon tea with my favorite ladies so when we spotted that Brew Ha Ha had appeared in the Buchanan Galleries we simply had to try it out. I have never been a big fan of the Costa Coffee and Starbucks style coffee places because I try to avoid caffeine as much as possible (accept when it is in a chocolate format, but that is completely different) and have always found the herbal teas available in such places to be ridiculously priced. Also the décor is always so dark and dingy, why is that?
Brew Ha Ha is the perfect antidote to such places. The décor is bright, fun and even a little bit cheeky! The theme overall is very 1950s which suits me down to the ground. People are always telling me I was born in the wrong decade! The staff are oh so friendly and the selection of teas, cakes and sandwiches will have you humming and hawing for ages over what to get.
On my first visit to Brew Ha Ha I ordered some yummy homemade soup and some hot chocolate. By the time I had eaten my soup my hot chocolate was cold and the nice owner lady made me a new one on the house! That was without me even asking her to, she just noticed my dilemma herself, how diligent!
During another visit I controversially ordered a tea which I had never tried before, and again the lovely lady who served me said that if I didn’t like it she would let me pick something else instead at no extra charge! There was no need though as the tea was terrific!
I love this place so much that a friend of mine recently bought me a really cute little «tea for one» set from here. I have posted a photo if you would like to have a look. It’s very chintzy but I think we all need a bit of chintz in our lives from time to time!

Despite adoring tea, I hadn’t really paid too much attention to this place since it sprung up earlier this year. I wasn’t quite sure what it was and the kitsch décor, in complete contrast to Costa next door, made me assume it was expensive.
After reading the reviews below, however, my eyes were wide and the excitement overwhelming (slight exaggeration perhaps but I do love my tea) and so I took myself along to Brewhaha. Much cuter than I had even imagined and bigger inside, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they serve up baguettes along with their wide array of teas. The chirpy staff match the image perfectly too.
I even managed to pick up a Christmas gift for another of my tea and chat-​loving friends — a hot water bottle stating ‘tea and sympathy please’. Perfect!

Whether it’s a good old British breakfast tea, or something of the green variety, there’s nothing quite like a good cup of tea. Television would have you believe it is the answer to all of life’s problems; there’s been a murder? Stick the kettle on; you’ve been dumped by your boyfriend? Here’s a nice cuppa. OK, so it may not have miracle healing powers, but sometimes there’s nothing more comforting than a good cup of tea.
Forget the ever so stylish trend of meeting girlfriends for a coffee and a chat, afternoon tea is most definitely the loveliest. Contrary to the traditional dark coffee house style, Brewhaha has turned the idea on its head, with one of the loveliest places to be for tea in Glasgow. With its quirky, colourful 50’s style, pop art comic strip décor and a whole menu dedicated to tea, it’s one of my favourite places to be for an afternoon of tea and chatter. The staff are charming and cheerful, serving up the most delicious of treats, in my case: jasmine tea and raspberry cheesecake that is to die for. I would highly recommend this place to lovers of tea, cake and all things quirky.

Brewhaha is a tea café that sprung up quite recently in Glasgow. Its kitsch 50’s décor (not to mention the name!) attracted me to it instantly. I made a time to go here with my Earl Grey-​loving friend Cat who also quite likes the look of the place.
Along with their vast array of teas, the also sell coffee, hot chocolate and some food. I got a Dong Ding Oolong which promised a peachy vanilla flavour. Cat got her trademark Earl Grey. We also got a slice of White Chocolate Cheesecake between us to try.
The walls are decorated with a black and white pop-​art comic strip and the little lights take the form of bowler hats.
The tea was good, and the cake amazingly rich and claggy, but to be honest, I think I prefer my tea with two sugars and a splash of milk, and I think that would be frowned upon in here.
