Benefit Cosmetics

If there’s one expensive treat I fall prey to every time, it’s Benefit make-​up.
With it’s gorgeous 1950s style packaging and endless lines of «we’ll cover up your every flaw!» make-​up… I implore you to resist!
Benefit is a high-​end make-​up company with all kinds of glorious treats. They specialise in flaw-​erasing make-​up, like their Get Even foundation, Lemon Aid concealer, and You’re Bluffing blemish stick. They also offer loads of gorgeous blushers and bronzers, beautiful eyeliners, and amazing mascaras.
The House of Fraser boutique is one of the best I’ve visited, with helpful staff, non-​harsh lighting, and a good selection of products.
Yes, it’s a tad pricey, but trust me — it’s worth every penny!
I recommend the Badlash mascaras, Dandelion and Hoola blusher and bronzer, and Mr Frosty eye highlighter.

My friends were fans of Benefit make up long before I was. I thought they were hypnotized by the funky 1950s style packaging and in denial about how much they were spending on their beauty products.
That was, until, I discovered Benefits Badgal Lash mascara. Two sweeps of that brush made me hooked on the brand and I’ve since become firm friends with high beam (you highlight cheekbones and brows) and benetint (for that rosey glow).
The Benefit boutique in the House of Fraser is a great place to sample their products– the staff will happily give you a make– over and you will leave feeling pretty, regardless of whether you buy anything (although I recommend that you do).
