I am not wild about this Baguette Express: it doesn’t have the same variety of salad as, say, Subway, and shares a clinical atmosphere with many other food chains, without offering anything remarkable or even consistent. I was a bit shocked by the breakfast choices– the rolls are heavy and greasy, while the coffee is pretty much the cheapest, blandest around. Since there are other places on the street that offer good sandwiches, home made style, I have not been back too often. At the same time, they do offer some cheap specials, especially for breakfast(although I question whether toasties are really healthier eating) and the food is made up fresh, in front of the customer. It just feels like a compromise between healthy food and fast food, and is satisfying as neither.
