Expensive is not necessarily better! This haircut cost me £58 and the guy who cut my hair spoke too much, consequently wasn’t paying full attention to what he was doing. I left the salon feeling very flat-crowned and unattractive, but figured I might be able to sort things out when I dried it myself… not so… more than a week later(having tried numerous different products and many different ways of blowdrying) I finally gave up and nipped into a local salon to see if they could sort it out. A few snips and £5 later I look so much better. Poor show Toni and Guy, soooo not worth the extra money!

Think Ive had my worst hair cut ever at this place. It has to be top 3 at least. Not just did the cashier look at my hair in a strange way when I had to pay, but my girlfriend laughed at me when I came back home. I had to go to another saloon the following day to sort out the mess Leigh had done. I don’t like to name drop but in this case I have to warn other people. It was not even an advanced style, just a normal gents cut. Totally uneven on both sides and also in the back. I went to Toni & Guy because I thought big brands had standards. Apparently they don’t. Never again.

To contrast with Amy’s review, I love the hairdressers! There’s something nice about someone preparing your hair, I find it soothing to have someone playing with my head! Maybe that’s just me though? I came here to get my hair coloured when I was younger, about 5 or 6 years ago. They did a good job — I got the salon head colourist so I was paying for a good job too,. My brothers said I looked like I was in Atomic Kitten(remember it was 5 or 6 years ago) which I took as a compliment. However, I came back here recently to have my hair blow-dried for my brothers graduation. I wasn’t overly overcome by the salon itself — it’s nice but nothing special. The girl who did my hair was really nice, but I felt a bit like a third wheel, tagging onto her conversation with another client. It cost me £28 too, which I was blown away by! I thought I was getting the standard £12 blow-dry, but I had apparently had a ‘put-up’ — upon my stylists recommendations. She conveniently forgot to mention the extra £16 for a few kerbies.

I HATE the hairdressers. After my regular hairdresser gave it up to become a full time mum, I have become stuck. Stuck in a rut involving trips to different salons hoping to find a cure for my bad hair day. One of those trips was to this salon and I was actually quite happy when I left(which is a rarity). The salon was nice and modern, like all hairdressing salons are these days. The staff were as nice as can be and I was suitably entertained with magazines and juice. The hairdresser listened and seemed to do what I asked, with the obligatory«any holidays booked/what are you doing at the weekend» questions. But what impressed me was that this hairdresser(sorry, her name escapes me) managed to attack my frizz ball with a hairdryer and live to tell the tale. Hairdryers are my arch nemesis. When I go to the hairdresser I am embarrassed when they blow dry my hair as it triples in volume before they save it with GHD’s. This is why I don’t own a hairdryer, we don’t get along. Well not this time! This girl blow dried my hair so perfectly smooth and straight that I didn’t even need GHD’s. I was free to walk down the street with smooth, straight hair which was all down to some magical hair drying. For this reason I will probably return!
