This little barber shop does everything it says on the tin. PRICE: A discount exists for students, and prices are good for others. QUALITY: If what you want is a trim or a short, back and sides then this is the place for you. If you want something else: go to a hair salon that has been painted pink. CHOICE: As a barber shop you have the choice of what length you want your hair. What other choices would one need? After a series of dismal haircuts from salons doing what I thought was the seemingly impossible(trimming hair badly) I decided to scout out a hair-trimming establishment aimed less at the frilly style and more at the bish-bash-bosh-done, no-nonsense barber shop run preferably by a chap called Frank or Bob. Edinburgh supplied a few places, and as I am sure you can imagine the search had to be a slow one owing to the limited speed of hair growth. Eventually, after trying out a couple of other locations, I tried out this little place, which as it happened, was directly underneath my flat. The lady who cut my hair was chatty, but not about the usual hairdresser drivel, and my next cut was completed by an equally talkative chap with an affinity for high-speed hair removal. The shop is clean, maintained well and it is easy enough to just pop in. The opening hours are, however, a little sporadic and if you are the sort of person who grabs a late afternoon haircut then you won’t manage here. The shop can sometimes be closed without warning during those hours it claims to be open too, so my advice would be to turn up in the middle of the week at midday. I would give a positive thumbs-up to this place, and if you are a hairy person who wants to avoid the faff of your regular modern-day salon then here lieth thine saviour.
