My son and I came for a quick bite to eat and, despite it being very busy, we were seated in 5 minutes and ordered 5 minutes after that. We both ordered savoury crepes(he the Italian, me the Mexican) and our orders came very quickly too. They were both a decent sized portion, packed with flavour and a surprisingly delicious lunch. I’ll be back again soon.

Cova is my go to spot if I’m visiting EK centre. The place is always mobbed which is testament to how good the food & service is, given that it’s surrounded by so many similar cafes/delis. I’ve been in for breakfast, they do a lovely fry up with a wee fried bread basket that they put your beans in! Nice touch! They also do French toast with bacon & syrup which is too die for. For lunch I normally go for a soup & sandwich combo, their soups are all homemade and really hearty & filling. They now have a wee takeaway counter. They do a snack box with a sandwich/ciabatta of your choice, with their amazing fries(just like Burger King chips when they were good!) and a small salad dressed in their house dressing(which is immense and can be bought bottled). I’m there so often I swear the staff must think I don’t have a job/life. Definitely worth a try if visiting the town centre!

In a sea of relatively standard shopping centre fare, Cova really stands out. It is right in the middle of EK Centres food court, stuck between the escalators and KFC! Don’t let that put you off, the food is really tasty. They have 3 different homemade pastas on each day and everything seems to be pretty much homemade. I had the bruschetta to start and tuna mayo pasta. Both were well cooked and very fresh tasting. Special mention goes to the Nutella crêpe and cream. It is huge! The crêpe was delicious, with warm oozing Nutella. Special mention has to go to the cream… no idea how they made it but it is worth getting just for the cream! Cut above all the rest of the places in the food court.

Outstanding restaurant in East Kilbride town centre. Creperie that does so much more. Nothing seems to be a problem always smiling, chatting but more importantly serving you correctly. Not expensive either and boys always happy what more can I say. Except«try it»

This is our first choice for a stop when we are in EK. The coffee is Italian Aroma brand which is as good as it gets and gives me a robust caffeine high, although I always have 2 cups minimum. The breakfast choice is what we usually get and have tried the scrambled egg on toast which is light and buttery tasting. Also the croissants with cheese and ham are toasted and worth a go. I havn’t tried anything off the lunch menu but it sounds interesting with a mediteranian influence. The servers are all very pleasant esp the tall brunnette girl who seems permanently happy. The proprietor couple are also very nice and will gladly chat away to you. In short it is a proper run eatery who seem to care about there produce and service– be there!

The smaller outlet called ‘Crêpe Olé’ moved from one side of the big gap to a bigger bit on the other and changed it’s name to Cova. My boy always orders a crêpe covered in Nutella, because he just loves it, and this time I had a portions of Chilli Nachos,(which were delicious). The restaurant overlooks all the shoppers coming and going on the ground floor of Centre West and is good for a bit of people watching. I had a coke and was pouring it into the glass provided when i noticed some of that waterproof lipstick on the glass. As it wasn’t my shade the waitress believed me and brought me a new glass. I was now ‘down’ half a can of coke. I felt compelled to ask for another can so that I didn’t lose out on the deal. The girl brought me one and left me with the remaining contents of the first. Result! It’s not expensive at all, probably because of all the other outlets all around it. I’d recommend it, even if it’s just a cappucino that you’re after.
