Taychreggan Hotel

This is the first stop on my whisky pigrimage.
Do they have rooms here — not a bloody clue. How about food — probably.
One thing is for sure — They do have a hell of a lot of whisky.
Step into the bar and be prepared for the spectacle.
The Taychreggan won the «Gordon & MacPhail Whisky Bar of the Year» title in 2005.
I would have to say over 100 bottles of fine malts. Not the largest but enough to start you on your journey

If you are interested in good (single malt) whiskies, you have to see this place. This hotel has a nice whisky bar, which offers over 450 different whiskies. The service was really great and the personnel are willing to answer you every question or will tell you everything you have to know about it. So it is not only just a bar, but an experience of Scotch whisky. Beside this, the bar/​restaurant is offering some wines and of course beer and soft drinks. You have also the opportunity to eat something at this place. Actually I missed this opportunity, but the meals sounds were delicious. The prices seem to be fair. Also the guests were very friendly and you could strike up a conversation with them at any time. The hotel is beyond the city centre, but you can reach it per bus or you take a taxi. A glimpse at the website pays off.
