This is a Restaurant and a Take Away, if you visit the railway carraige with the silhouette people at the window. We visited the Restaurant for an early Dinner on Saturday. Just as well my Sister booked when we arrived there was only one other table occupied, but by the time we left all the tables were full as they had been reserved and this included two large parties. The Waiting Staff we presumed were all Students and what a lovely bunch they were friendly without being intrusive and very attentive. They had Birra Morretti on draught and me and the big Bro-in-law ordered a pint of that, they lost one star from me as my Sister cannot drink but likes an occasional non alchoholic beer and they had none on offer. I ordered Beer Battered Peterhead Haddock with Tartar Sauce and Hand cut Roosters, it was served on a plate on of my little foibles, but also a small frying basket lined with greaseproof paper, it was scrummy. My Sister & Bro-in-law both ordered Rump Steak one rare, one medium both done to perfection and served with Mushroom, Tomato, Rocket Salad & Fries. I was stuffed, Sis & Bro-in-law both had Nutella Brioche Pudding with Coffee Ground Icecream, they both enjoyed it very much. A wee pot of tea for two and I was off to the Bus Station for my Journey Home but that is another Review.

Good view, reasonable prices, food is decent, the staff could be a little more chatty and smile. Will come again

Missed a train and wound up here for breakfast. Absolutely stunning view and very comfortable atmosphere. Enjoyed my food and had prompt service. Would highly recommend and will almost certainly return!

Could easily be a five start plus with just a few minor adjustments. The food is excellent as are the prices and service. I feel that they should offer side dishes as extras for some of the main courses as some can be quite small. I had the trio of lamb on my last visit! And whilst stunning and a good price, it was such a same there was no veg with it at all and no side dish available on the menu. The very pleasant waitress did suggest that I order a side of their home made chips with it as it was quite small. With the extra Chios it was perfect although personally I would have liked to see the option to havethe choice to have some veg. The fish and home fries served in the wire basket were simply divine, but yet again, no peas, mushy or otherwise served or offered with it. It did come with lovely home made tartar sauce, but the dish still lacked peas or even a small salad garnish. Other wise, the food, service and view was fantastic and well worth the visit.

A very pleasant surprise. Very happy with the food, service and price. I would recommend it to everyone. The menu had a very small selection but the food was super delicious.

Map isn’t quite correct — if you pass the Tesco grocery store on the right after 2nd round about keep an eye out for the restaurant on your left — a brick building, has a fake train with passenger head cut out as a prop. Food is quite good with a beautiful presentation. Fish and chips awas one of the best we had so far with house mad tar tea sauce. The pork Mediterranean style was delicious, moist and a hit of sweetness from Apple purée. It came with a lentil fried cake that I didn’t really like but it’s cause I don’t like lentils much. Ate pork with the chips from husbands entrée– which was fantastic! The waitress was very nice — a gal from Aussie doing her masters in motion at the local University– she gave some awesome history facts. The term«Bautch Job» came from the Tay Bridge collapsing in 1940s. Dennis the Mennis cartoon was developed in Dundee.

I tried this tiny restaurant last year for an early dinner. My first impression of the menu was that it was really basic, and I felt a little disheartened that my options were so slim. I ordered a dessert I didn’t. Want purely because it was the best of a «bad bunch». Or so I thought! The food in here is simplistic but clever. I ordered fish & chips and a desert of apple pie with aniseed ice cream. Both were kind of «meh» decisions. The fish and chips blew me away. At the time, I’d never seen chips served in the metal fry baskets — it’s pretty common now, but then it was genius. The fish was beautifully delicate and served in a gorgeous crisp batter, and the mushy peas were puréed. My apple pie was served dissembled rather than a simple bog-standard slice and I really, really enjoyed it. I’m going to go back there and blog it because its one of those places that sticks in my mind and it deserves more credit and public awareness than it gets!

Had a lovely lunch at Bridgeview Station. We decided to eat in the restaurant rather than take-a-away from the train(love that!) and had a lovely view of the Tay River and rail bridge. Every single part of our meal was top notch and at a fantastic price. I want to go back over and over again to try more items on their menu… and probably will! I had the soup of the day which was absolutely lovely with nicely balanced flavors and the curried chicken sandwich which arrived on thick cut, freshly baked, soft white bread with a perfectly crunchy crust. Seriously the best sandwich I’ve had, ever. The others at our table loved everything they ordered as well. Our plates left the table sparkling clean, not a crumb left!
