It’s kinda cramped, you can’t really hear what anyone is saying but the pizza is decent. It’s also expensive. But you know what you’re getting into.

I’m not a big fan of pizza express but it is liked by kids so we decided to come here for dinner. This particular pizza express(Dulwich village branch) needs to sort out their service. We had three staff working on tables but once allocated to a wait staff it meant none of the others could help and would actively look the other way if we tried to get their attention. Really frustrating to wait for our waiter when the other two appear free. The food is per the usual standard & at least they always know what to expect from pizza express food.

Amazing food every times. Wonderful attentive servers who enjoy laughing with you. The downfall is the children(the parties!) and people choosing to sit on top of you. Avoid prime times like 6 – 9 earlier is nice and quiet.

Very good pizza. Pleasant service only place worth eating in Dulwich Village.

I already like the PizzaExpress food chain but this particular one was very nice to dine in. The manager was super friendly and even helped to catch an annoying bee that was buzzing around me and my friend LOL. The food was up to the already high standards PizzaExpress has set. Will be going back.

Awful. Take your own steak knife, or you won’t be able to cut through the tough wooden pizza crusts. The service is well-meaning, but ultimately intrusive. And the acoustics are appalling you can’t even hear yourself sawing through the crusts!

This is the Dulwich Village version of Pizza Express. The staff are more welcoming, friendlier, competent. The setting is ideal, right on the Village high street. Delightful outdoor seating area — just perfect for a sunny day. Even the food seemed to be just one notch above the rest. You normally know what you’re getting from Pizza Express, but this branch is possibly the best one I’ve visited.

Pizza Express is a reliable Italian chain selling decent pizzas and pastas and the Dulwich Village branch is a nice location in the centre of the Village. It does seem to be THE place for local parents to take their children, which may put some people off, but generally is a very welcoming atmosphere.

I really like this restaurant chain as it has a nice family atmosphere and is always busy and bustling. the prices are very reasonable for a family budget especially when they have offers on like their recent one — 2 for 1 /50% off your meal. the staff are always very efficient and eager to help serve you. I love this particular branch of pizza express because it is a fabulous location. The menu is very extensive as there is something for everyone even if you dont fancy a pizza — the pastas are delicious!

As much as I love the food of Pizza Express, don’t visit this restaurant until at least 9pm, otherwise you will find yourself completely surrounded on all corners by couples with young rowdy children. Having said that, after 9pm it’s a lovely place to eat, with really good service and a nice atmosphere. Booking is probably a good idea as this is a busy area. Don’t overlook the pasta options on the menu, they are as good, if not better than, the pizza.

There’s something delightfully decadent about a boozy Sunday lunchtime spent sitting outside Pizza Express in Dulwich Village. It’s a guilty pleasure, considering the chainyness of the whole experience, but as the only other option for pizza in the immediate area is Bella Pasta(for other Italian nibbles try Panino D’oro( )) there’s some allowance to be made. Munching hot pizza and juicy side dishes al fresco watching this little slice of English village life go by is a pleasure indeed, and as soon as the bitter chill in the air is burned away in the first days of spring I’ll be back, Pinot Grigio in hand, chomping on Italy’s finest and smiling widely. Vegan options: the pizza bases are dairy free so just ask for no cheese. The Bosco salad is also a great option minus the mozarrella and honey & mustard dressing, but make sure you ask for no butter on the garlic sticks. They will serve dough balls with oil and balsamic vinegar instead of garlic butter if you ask.
