Holiday Inn Express London Gatwick – Crawley

Courteous staff and clean room. But what more should you expect for £59 a night? Breakfast you ask? Well… yes, breakfast was included in the price, but I wouldn’t really call it that. There were no sausages left so I decided on waiting with a cup of coffee. But there were no cups left. So I decided to have some muesli. But there were no spoons left.
Finally the sausages came.
Wasn’t my idea of a decent start to the day, but I do like my food (maybe a bit too much), and this was a disappointment.
Oh — and stay clear of room 224. Noisy as hell next to the elevator…

I believe my stay here was okay. There was complimentary breakfast buffet. The buffet consisted of cereal, milk, croissants, bread, eggs, sausages, orange and apple juice, yogurt, fruits, and coffee. The rooms were clean. I’ve never had any complaints about noise. There are vending machines located by the front desk. There is no complimentary Wi-​Fi usage. It is an additional fee per a day or hour. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from a train station. There is also a restaurant, Roasters, located in the same lot as the hotel. The food at the restaurant is very good and it was busy when I ate there. It is between a five to ten minute walk to the Tesco store where you can buy your essentials as well as any prepackaged meals. Overall, the hotel was not bad nor excellent.

Easy to find, easy to park (free). Rooms are compact but clean and functional. Corridors smell a bit musty!
Fab showers in small bathroom. Compact rooms but they do the job. 10 mins drive to Gatwick North Terminal.
