Before I begin I have to admit a bias for Holland & Barrett. Since becoming vegan I’ve found it is usually one of the best shops to go to in order to acquire good quality suitable food. However, some stores can be a little hit and miss. In one shop I’ve visited in the Glasgow area the store is huge, but the supplies are limited with no freezer cabinet. In another the store is small with limited stock and only very reluctantly helpful staff. This particular branch, however, is the best I’ve ever been into. It’s not particularly large, but they make the best of the space available to include as much variety as possible. It’s organised, tidy and though Holland & Barrett in general is not cheap you’re paying for quality. However, what makes this particular store is the staff. They are friendly, helpful and the manager is always happy to order in anything they don’t have in stock and set it aside for you until you’re able to collect and pay. I go out of my way to shop at this branch rather than the one closest to me purely because of the staff. Basically, they make this store as good as it gets.

Great branch. Frequent reductions in addition to whatever Holland and Barrett country wide offers are on. Helpful staff who have tried a lot of their own products and can suggest things.

This Holland & Barrett store in Clydebank sells a range of organic and specialist health food. Very handy if you have an allergy to gluten or dairy. It also sells vitamins and herbal remedies designed for any ailment. Although I support the healthy aspect of Holland & Barrett and all that, I must admit my favourite part of the store is the huge selection or Green and Black’s chocolate.
