iv been to this place only once and truthfully speaking i think the food was rubbish. the décor was ok but it my main concern was the service. half the time the staff were speaking another language which my wife felt really uncomfortable with coz it felt like they were talking about us. some of the waiters had a bad odour problem. the rice was sticky and the chicken curry was very runny and quite tasteless. the tables were too close to one another and felt like people were looking at what i was eating. recently went to Indian Flava and it was a breath of fresh air. iv wrote a comment on the Indian Flava page in more detail so check it out…

Chester Tandoori is a well established restaurant that still has a 70’s /80’s look. It has plenty of seats in the many open type plan rooms the building has so you are not sat in view of all of the other guests. The staff is friendly but not always the best to communicate with if you are asking for something from the norm. The food is good and typical of most Indians thou it does not excel from this category. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad place it’s just seems a little dark, dated and could do with a new menu to pull it from the average. In general; Cleanliness 7⁄10 Quality of food 7⁄10 Cost 8⁄10 Staff 7⁄10

I actually think that this place is past it’s prime. It used to be a nice place, but now the décor is showing the signs of neglect and it looks tacky. The food is pricey and doesn’t taste that great and of course, the drinks will cost you your arm. And curry’s coupled with expensive drinks are a nightmare! Don’t get me wrong, i have had some good party’s in here but more due to company than food. All that is needed is for the staff you have refresh. Do the place up, sort the cooking out and it will be a lovely place again, its so spacious and could be so successful. The have a Sunday buffet where you can opt for all you can eat so Sunday is the best value day. Parking leaves much to be desired. Its found on a narrow one way street which does have parking but which is mostly taken up by residents.
