The last and only time I’ve ever tried Nando’s is when I was living in Melbourne, Australia and it was god-awful — dry and inedible. Ever since then, I never understood why Nando’s is such a beloved chain. However, for some reason when I got to decide my birthday dinner with my partner, I had a nagging feeling telling me that Nando’s was the way to go. Best. Decision. Ever. Completely changed my mind on Nando’s! ~ Atmosphere: Quite a large restaurant that is quite well-designed inside. There are 2 floors I believe with the toilets upstairs. They do make an effort to keep the place relatively clean, but there was some sticky alcohol stuck on our table. ~ Customer Service: Really friendly staff here with food coming out at reasonable times. Unfortunately there wasn’t no birthday discount for myself though. ~ Food: The reason why Nando’s is getting the 4 stars — the food was delicious! What we ordered… – All Together Now(we chose Peri-Peri Nuts, Houmous w/Peri-Peri Drizzle, &3 Chicken Wings) — £9.30 My favourite of this appetiser set was the houmous w/peri-peri drizzle, served with some pitta bread for dipping. The bread was soft and the houmous delicious! I’m a huge fan of houmous though so I’m probably biased in that regard. The chicken wings were also fantastic — perfectly cooked and very flavourful. – Churrasco Thigh Burger(with 2 sides of peri-peri chips and mash) — £10.45 Tasty as well. Nothing out of this world, but the chicken thighs were extremely juicy and delicious. The chips were lovely though with the peri-peri salt and even more delicious when I dipped them in my leftover houmous from my appetiser! — The best thing about Nando’s is that there’s no extra sauce for the extra sauce you can bring to your table. I’m a huge sauce-lover so I love drizzling Nando’s sauce on EVERYTHING! You can’t go wrong with this Nando’s, even when you’re going for your birthday dinner!

Great place to eat. Tasty chicken, reasonable price. Nice atmosphere. Open kitchen so you can see your chicken being cooked. Only problem is they don’t take bookings so sometimes have to wait without being able to order drinks. Still worth a visit.

You can’t beat a good Nando’s you know exactly what to expect and you get just that never fails to disappoint. This particular restaurant is set in Cardiff’s Brewery Quarter, if it’s a nice day I’d advise you to sit and eat al fresco and watch the passers by. Recommended A**

Here for lunch — always a regular visitor to nandos in both Cardiff and London. Never fails to satisfy my hunger — food is always quick and good quality. Yum. Location of this one gives it some charm as it is in a small close of restaurants away from the busy street.

Tend to go here with people from work at lunch times. Never wait long for the food and always seen to promptly. The location makes this Nandos stand out from other’s. Close to the high street

This is situated in the old brewery quarter in the city centre so nice and close to the shops and the bus/train stations. The restaurant itself is a little dark. The chicken is well cooked and very nice, although be warned– if you don’t feel like chicken then there’s not much else on the menu for you.

As Nando’s go this isn’t a bad one or a good one. But if you don’t know what Nando’s is(as I didn’t when I first went there) then here are a few pointers. 1 — It’s a chicken restaurant. And we’re not talking great chefs worship the flavour of Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall’s organic well cared for chooks here. This is a cross between burger king and the hard rock café. Fast food with a bit of service. 2 — When they say hot sauce they really really mean it. 3 — You have to go to the counter to order. 4 — No matter what people say it really isn’t that good and like most fast food it really isn’t very cheap

Nando’s is one of the best restraunts ever. The chicken is lush, and the prices are very decent. The staff are extreamly friendly too!

Wow. Picture this: it’s a Friday night in Cardiff City Centre. It’s the weekend after payday and the city is buzzing. You are out with a group of colleagues from Europe. Youth workers no less. You take them to nandos in the Brewery Quarter. The guy from Portugal is made up that you’ve gone to a portugese restaurant, especially when the manager turns out to speak Portugese. You take your seats(upstairs) and see that there’s you and a group of around 30 teenagers sharing the seating area and that one of them is celebrating their birthday. They are loud and excited but just having a laugh and are generally well behaved. Because there’s 10 of you and the cue to place your order is massive, you make a list of what everyone wants. The great guy taking orders realises you are a Welsh speaker and chats to you in Welsh(European friends are impressed). Then you produce your list and the guy almost cheers with joy. He’s so pleased with how organised you are, he gives you 4 free bottles of beer(re-sult!). Your food comes quick, it’s as tasty as hell and comes with lots of sauces, including an Xtra Hot one in a dangerous looking black bottle, which is great because the men in the group immediately start daring each other to drink it! Then, all of a sudden, two of the young girls start fighting and a gang of youths run up the stairs and start threatening to ‘kick off’. The staff let it run its course and escort the troublemakers out. They get the guy in charge of security to escort the young men off the premesis and out of the brewery quarter, where they are told ‘look chaps, i don’t want to call the police, but if you come back in here, i’ll have to’. They say fair enough and leave. The great guy behind the bar arrives at your table with free drinks for everyone as an apology for the ruccuss. Your European Youth Worker colleagues think it’s all a set-up for their benefit. Lots of hugging and kissing on the cheek ensues. They think you rock. And did I mention that the food is as tasty as hell?

Nandos is a great place to eat, it’s reasonably priced to. Free refils on drinks and on the frozen youghurt dessert. The interior is tastefully decorated. The staff are very polite and always willing to help. My favourite dish is the chicken pitta. I’d recomend Nando’s.

Just over 2 years ago, a Nando’s was finally built in the Centre of Cardiff! Nando’s is a very popular chain restaurant which offers a wide range of chicken dishes with 4 different kind of sauces depending on how spicy you like your food, I’m a baby when it comes to Nando’s and always settle for the mildest sauce which is lemon and herb, it would take me a lot of training to be able to face eating the extra hot. I would not be able to go to Nando’s and not order peri peri chips, peri peri is one of the nicest spices I have ever tried and my mouth actually starts to water while thinking of the unique taste from these small crushed spices which explode with flavour in your mouth! Nando’s is decorated in a Portugues theme, but the Cardiff venue is more modern and lacks a bit in traditional theme. Service is excellent and most students seem to live in nandos because of it’s reasonable prices!
