Belfields Fish Bar

I visited Bellfields fish and chip shop after passing on a number of occasions and noting the board outside which bragged about its ‘award winning’ fish and chips. I therefore had very high expectations when I treated myself to a fish and chips supper from Bellfields. I have to say, I was rather disappointed. Aside from the fact I had to wait almost 20 minutes for my food, the fish and chips were rather disappointing. The fish was very thin, suggesting they had chopped a standard sized fillet in half to make it go further. Unfortunately, this half sized portion was not accompanied by a half price cost and so I have to say I won’t be visiting again. There are a couple of far better chippies in Burnley who will be receiving my custom in future.

Belfields has won many awards for its Fish and Chips and deservedly so as they are wonderful. For a good old fashioned chippy this is the place to go. They have regular special offers which are good value. The only downside is that everyone seems to have realised what a good chippy it is and it can get quite busy and the queues can be quite lengthy at times. But well worth the wait
